  • Grand Theft Auto IV brought me here

  • this makes me want to succeed

  • needs more bass

  • This song taught me one lesson: the 80's ruled and this is coming from a 90's baby!

  • This was back when extended mixes were actually cool!

    <3 Green Gartside!

  • Pure pop perfection.

  • Souvenirs de l'été 84 en Suisse sur Couleur3 !

  • Scritti Politti brought them hard funky beats with his advant garde vocals they were definitely ahead of their time & if u pumped this now in a club with a fierce sound system the children would GAG!!!

  • Arif marden on production duties. Recorded in New York. Gamson, Maher and Gartside. The real Scritti.

  • the original version of this song has been removed :( that is why only this remix is available

  • They actually made some really cool beats and arrangements for back then...they were ahead of there time

  • <3 <3 <3

  • Adam budd from Bournemouth and exmouth adores this album. Took it on all my travels!!

  • The two albums of my youth were this one and duke by genesis.

  • Had this album on tape, vinyl and cd !

  • Cool

  • cupid and psyche `85, had the album on tape :)x

  • track has not aged a single bit! im so sick of the 80's being all about madonna, she was crap then and is crap now, this was the 80's! proper tuneage!

  • Une musique sublime, le reflet de ces années magiques ! Quels amusements... ;-)

  • Scritti Politti rules

  • superb 80s band - shame these great tracks very rarely if ever get played but all the same old worn out 80s tunes are forever on the radio - why is that? :-/

  • This was another production in which David Frank of the System NYC did a lot of the production including the Moog basslines.

  • fav song of all...thanks for upload

  • Funny how some were mocking the 80's when oasis were offering very little of anything new in the 90s. They were just a second rate slade... and thats saying something. As far as pop music goes this was brilliant.

  • The late, great Miles Davis even tributed Scritti Poltti's 'Perfect Way'. Check it out. He also tributed Michael Jackson's 'Human Nature' in his setlist. That says something about the popmusic in the 80's.

  • ik ben 39 jaar en ik krijg hier kippevel van die muziek is gewoon helemaal zo goed als nieuw en toen was ik verlief d op de zanger van scritti politti

  • Music today is fucking shit. Nothing comes close to this. Young people today just listen to fucking rubbish, and its all image, and rap crap, and shitty pop idol crap.

  • Thanks for posting this, I hadn't heard this version for about 20 years till now.

  • Still a great song after all these years. Thanks for posting.

  • The whole album cupid & psyche 85 is about as good as it gets, genius album

  • Fucking superb. Love the cover art too.

  • A BIG THANK YOU Green, . . . . This is SUCH inspirational music. I just close my eyes and I'm back to when music was worth listening to . I am energised by this and other scritty music. You can fly with me any time guys!

  • sounds fresh still.......

  • Green Gartsides voice .......

  • Woodbeez=musical perfection

This sound is 1000 times better than anything on the radio today.

  • JUST DIVINE, I die for this track. I can not count how many times I have listened to "Wood Beez". So stunning, how I miss decent music like we had in the 80s. I don't want to be in the 00s at all!

  • The marriage of synthesizers and conventional instruments has never been perfected further beyond this record. It feels like we've gone backward since this record.

This record opitomised the modern times the 80's were. There's nothing modern sounding about the music we hear today.

  • just close my eyes and let this sweetness sweep all over me,bliss, thanks ever so again.

  • POP PERFECTION! I thought this was the coolest song when first hearing

it on a college radio station in '84. The whole album is classic. Also loved their album art.

  • It's amazing. The song just makes me swoon! Scritti were superb!!!!

  • love it.... the good old disco tunes!!!

  • This sounds to my ears just as fresh and amazing as when I first heard it as 14. And all these years later like a fine wine its even better. back then every other record that came out was so brilliant, I completely took real pop music for granted. But then the age of the skanks, with lyrics about how jiggly their booty is, came over us and sadly I realise how rare and precious the 80s were...

  • @JeuneFilleaCarnival Music snobbery. Dont be subjective.

  • @diamondstudd you must be black since you took offense. OF COURSE im being a snob, thats the whole point.

  • @JeuneFilleaCarnival I'd like to connect your mouth to your brain because it seems you're talking out of your ass. You make assumpions that i took offence - which i didn't - and also if i did take offence then 1. I'm black and 2. I like rap music. I like have an eclectic taste in music, i like Scritti Politti. You had to go and write something with absolutely ZERO intellectual thought and credibility thus provng that you hold all the undesirable weaknesses from the human gene pool.

  • @diamondstudd hahahahahahahaha

  • @JeuneFilleaCarnival Oh Yes!! was checkin out the system tracks and stumbled across this. Had completely forgotten about these guys. As Orson said " serve no wine until it's time" Makes 20 plus years seam like yesterday. We had it good !!! Still have it good!!

  • @JeuneFilleaCarnival well put i totally agree...

  • @JeuneFilleaCarnival You should start listening to French electro! Seriously, I think you'd like artists such as Justice, Kavinsky and Danger.

  • loved it when i was 17, now 23 years later i still do... !!!

  • loved it when i was 17. now 23 years later it's still the case !!!

  • I've been waitng to hear this version for at least 20yrs!!!....THANK YOU!

  • Pure perfection cheers!!! x

  • Aaah, thanx...bought this when it first came out, sadly, the cassette machine ate the tape....so, no horrible guilt about listening to it again for free!

  • Same here, I used to have this album on cassette too. Until now I hadn't heard this mix for about 20 years, so thanks for posting. It sounds even better in 480p too.
