When looking for my first car, I found a beautiful blue sonata like yours for about 10-11 grand, but I really wanted manual, so I got an 04 Lancer instead. I guess I gave up a little bit of luxury for it, but hey, it's still a damn good car. I'm all for beige leather interior... love it!

Because they are 2000 watts MAX each. Its not a 4000 watt system because u cant rate ur system by the max watts. Its got to be by RMS. If you tried putting 4000 watts through those subs for longer than 30 secs you would blow them, nd i sure as shit hope ur not powering them with 4000K watts cuz they'll b done shorty.

You prob got a 1500-2K watt system.

I had it installed by pros - They filled in all the gaps from the old system then cut out single din for new deck - Then painted (matching paint was the hard part)

The amps got plenty of power - so much so I took it back and had them retune it down because it's just too much bass for a non ported box & boot. I've also changed the sub settings to more rumble than kick cause it's damaging the parcel shelf & I've already had 3 shattered brake light bulbs.

I also reckon alot of amps are set under 50% cause we want alot of bass but our cars can't handle it - That's what happened in my case anyway! Thanks for your comments mate!

Hey Braniac, We're obviously talking in different languages - That video was a bass test tone at 1400w "RMS" - In Oz we usually talk max output & Pioneer rate those speakers at 2000W Max each. RMS on my woofers is about 960w each!

Yep - I got the 3.3 Elite with leather & 17" rims. Are you getting the 2.4 in leather or cloth? If you're not getting a 2.4 Elite then hassle the dealer for the 17" rims - Looks so much better than the platic caps on the 15s! What colour you getting?

Stock system isn't bad - in the elite model its a 6 stacker with 6in splits at front and 6in 2ways in the back seat - also comes with a small 7in subbie in the parcel shelf which leaves a nice little porting hole when removed!

Hey it's not easy bro - I had mine done professionally and they said it was a bitch to do. 1st off you have to keep the original facier becuase you need the mount on the sides to hold your hazard light button in. When you remove the CD you are left with holes in the facier from the original buttons. They filled all the holes in and smoothed it out then cut new hole for the deck. A professional interior colour specialist matched the dash colour and it was sprayed. Cost a Bomb too!
