To not have one would be a severe decrease in sexual sensation. ABout a 30% decrease for sure, not to mention the callous that would form. I think it's funny because the majority of people who say that circumcision is bad are uncut. But the majority of guys who are circumcised couldn't care less. 2. Father and son should be "the same" (the artical i found on this years ago was long and sometimes silly... i would think a tot might not notice)

I think it's funny because the majority of people who say that circumcision is bad are uncut. But the majority of guys who are circumcised couldn't care less. So, there is proof that, in general, the guy isn't going to feel like he lost anything. And as to the statements about uncut being better because it creates more sensitivity... I am circumcised, and if I had any more sensitivity, I would need a clean pair of shorts several times a day. Uncut guys are just too emotional about this!

@XavierMacX "health" reasons? oh really? haha!!!! if there are all these "health" benefits, then why are we the only country that does this for these "health" reasons? and why is it that, according to the WHO, the US currently has the highest rates of HIV, AIDS and other STD's? little girls suffer from nearly triple the amount of issues "down there", UTI's, yeast infections, etc. why are you not advocating circumcision for them?

@XavierMacX oh, and by the way, in 2009 more newborn boys died as a result of their circumcision surgeries than men did of penile cancer. so lets see, we've gotten the STD, HIV and penile cancer excuses out of the way (all bullshit), what other "health benefits" are there? hmm, should we tackle the "hygiene" argument? lol, that one's my favorite.

@XavierMacX isnt it ironic that NO health organization in the world promotes circ for "health benefits", not even the AAP!!!!! and isnt it ironic that the only country that routinely does this to infants is the ONLY country that would stand to profit from it? at nearly $500 bucks a pop (insurance plans no longer cover this COSMETIC procedure) american docs get hella rich. and then the hospitals!!! they cash in too after selling the foreskins to cosmetic companies. hmm....

@XavierMacX hmm, you'd think that if these "health benefits" were sooooo amazing, that health insurance companies would pay for it!!! it would be in their best interest to pay for it if it actually prevented illness, infection etc. but it doesnt. the evidence is just not there. therefore, they've quit covering it!!!! government healthcare (medicaid, etc) has quit paying for it also in nearly half the states, and more to follow because its a WASTE of money!!!!

@XavierMacX do have any clue what meatal stenosis is? its this wonderful condition CAUSED directly by circumcision and is extremely painful. so, this "procedure" that was supposed to prevent illness/infection, etc has now caused a very traumatic condition for the child. nature did not screw up. if the prepuce organ was no longer needed, evolution would weed it out. but guess what? baby boys are still being born with them, for a reason!!! educate yourself, please.

Do you even know where the practice of circumcision comes from? I suggest you look it up so you can see just how ridiculous the origins of this procedure are.

@XavierMacX It's not a "personal" at all choice if the person involved has no say in the matter, though is it? Why should the parents beable to make such a decision based on their on likes and dislikes regarding their sons body. We're not even talking about deformities here, we're talking about a natural body part.
