Why are there shows like this? It seems unnecessarily inflammatory, creating arguments, based on speculation and the force of the arguer, with almost no regard for the facts. I am sad to say that the answer is that the average person is mentally lazy and allows this to happen, because, in most cases, they want to be sure that everyone agrees . Fuck everyone and do what you want, within reason.

Okay, I should have said "RECALL" and that is what I would do. The elected official should not think they are above the law and should have not emotional rhetoric on a national television show. This is a horrible story and my heart goes out to this family whose grief I can not even imagine. Any child killed and/or raped is painful to hear let alone be in your family, but the sheriff, prosecutor and judge need to be impartial to all. Impartial juries with the backbone of our justice system.

This sheriff would be fired for going on this television show if I were mayor of that city. Nancy believes in mob rule where if you are a suspect you are guilty so why have a trial? Hang'em high. That is southern justice isn't it? American's that can not think for themselves watch Nancy every night.

@mamabearroars2 The sheriff is an elected official of the COUNTY in Indiana...and is the top county law enforcement officer of the county. The mayor being a city official has NO jurisdiction over the sheriff.

I am sickened by the man who did this, but does Nancy Grace know anything about legal process, she looked stunned when Burris said he could get away from the death penalty, and why would you want the death penalty for him anyway, lethal injection won't do justice, it's even cheaper to let him rot in jail, as a local in the area I don't want to spend thousands of tax money to kill him almost instantly, when its cheaper to let him have to think about what he did and rot away in a cell.

It is her job/training to convince people to agree with her, at all cost. She is not a journalist!! A reporter discloses facts dispassionately. They do not act like paranoid fools; seeking conspiracies everywhere. It sickens me to think of how good people's lives have been damaged by her unfounded speculations.

John Wayne Gacy did have a criminal history. But I agree with Nancy Grace that usually there is some sort of sexual abuse in cases this extreme. God knows what he did in his past. Something tells me this was either not his first time or he had been planning this for awhile. Poor girl and poor mother. Talk about destroying a family. RIP Aliahna.
