  • since that website link you posted doesnt work anymore is there anywhere else we can see how you made this?

  • @Peppurr1 I changed the description to show the URL of the website.

  • nice. and 200 feet of track!?!?! that's a impressive size layout.

  • Love it mate very nice how much does it cost to do it

    Thanks

  • that is possably the most inspiring thing i have ever seen lol (from a man with no room for a layout :P)

  • HO or N sclae?

  • HO Scale. 200 feet of track.

  • the mike, is it an athearns?

  • Great layout....talk about nervewracking though...imagine derailing the Big-Boy over that narrow center portion! Yikes!!! Love the video!

  • thats very nice. wish I could do this while wifey is away one day, then it would already be up and the wow factor would kill any "what are you doing" sentiment

  • Very nice.

I've been wanting to build a ceiling mounted set for awhile. How did you mount the track to the plexiglass?

btw nice Big Boy steam engine

  • dude

    thats pretty fucking amazing

  • really cool ...what is the traks running on plexy glass?

  • Solid

  • what scale is that?

  • awesome man! really gets peoples attention when in your house. what if the train would derail, how would you keep them from deraling and falling?

  • I have 6 re-railers located around the track. If it comes off, it is withing 20 feet of a re-railer and it will go back on.

Because I have soldered the track together, and then used a file to make each connection really smooth, it almost never comes off the track.

  • What if it comes off before it can reach a rerailer and falls to the ground? Amazing work, btw.

  • > I am putting a lexan shelf around my sons room for an o scale train. Can you tell me how you anchore...

I just used the same glue that glues the lexan together. It's clear and since the track is plastic, and the plexyglass is plastic it was perfect. You can't see it once it dries. I only glued it about once 6 inches.

  • isnt it scary..ur train might fall =0

  • You need rails, the train will fall. Hope you still have it running.

  • Love it, like to see more

  • PLEASE, DESCRIBE HOW YOU BUILT IT! I think it is great and exactly what I want to build in my home office. In fact just seconds ago I was at another website posting a "help" note there for the same purpose. This one is truly beautiful.

  • Now that is SHARP! Very Very Nice!!!!

  • Check out how I made this at shortyshortproductions. com /photos/trainset

  • got any more footage on this? i like this setup! i would like to make one for my house as well, not as complicated as this but just 1 giant square but i cant find round plexiglass : ( got any tips?
