I hate how Americans are complaining about the 'high prices for the vita', the price for the vita in America ($250) translates to only £158.0178 while in the UK, we have to pay £250 ($395.5252) for the same thing and I know they have to pay extra for shipping but really, and extra £91.9822 for shipping, come on people!

@TH3F1LMMASTER You're not taking into account VAT and the fact that our economies are totally different. Comparing the US and UK prices is like comparing apples and oranges. The price is adjusted to your economy, not ours.

Don't get me wrong though. I'm not one of the poor little children who thinks it's too expensive here. 249 is a STEAL for what you get with the Vita. Anybody who thinks a system with twice as much power as an iPad 2 at half the cost is too expensive is fucking crazy.

Also, I agree with your point on how anyone thinks that it's too much, personally, I also think it is very cheap considering the iPad is half the power and double the price. I've already bagged my pre-order copy and can't wait to play some more on the Vita (I had the luxury of playing it in the store) and I've also pre-ordered Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Little Deviants. Can't wait! :)

He says LBP pushes ps3 to its limits, but I doubt it. I think a side scroller never could actually do so on this scale.

The game is still blocky and ps3 has several million polys to spare per frame (about 2-4M+ maybe). Just look at Uncharted1-3/other. That would mean characters of 10,000-50,000 polys each. However, I think they use a very low count, perhaps between 1,000 to 6,000 at best. There may be several peaks of their own engine, but there wouldn't be a lot. Plus, its running at 24-30fps.
