i don't think so.shan should join thailand. shan is apart of myanmar. it's one of national in myanmar !

May I add; The TAI is the ancestor of the South Asia people. Begun with our so call 1st King Sinu Lo (Yunnan, China) during 600s and trailed to Tai Prince; Khun Lo ( Loas Country Founder) and passed on to LanSang King; Fa Gnum. Which is a lineage of our Tai Prince; Khun Lo.
That's why our languages are similar
