the world health organization advises that children should be breast fed for AT LEAST 2 years.. congratulations for being well informed and doing what is right for your child! for those who are misinformed, breast milk continue to provide both nutrition and protection from illness for as long as the child continues to nurse.
Some people posting here are extremely misinformed, but that is not surprising. Thanks for sharing this and for being true to your child's needs which is way more important that the opinions of wacky people on You Tube.

and just from watching your videos i tell that he doesnt getting enough milk because he is not 'pumping' your breast, he stay with his cheeks stoped while suck,so he's not getting milk...he's just putting his mouth on it !
There are different kinds of nursing. He has 3 nursings a day where he does 'pump', as you say, and you can hear a lot of swallowing, and at other times he occasionally takes short nursing breaks like this where he may be doing it for comfort or to wind down more than anything, but it still serves a purpose to him and is perfectly natural.
You even say in the vid "what are you doing? are you messing around?" Kids mess around. Even when they are nursing. Just because he isn't sucking and swallowing doesn't mean he isn't nursing. Psycho4thall probably runs into the bathroom, showers and runs out. You know you can't stand in a shower unless you are actually cleaning yourself.
Actually if you have ever breastfed before then you would know, and can see this one you pump your breastmilk with a pump, but you can pump 3 or more times and stop and the suction held on your nipple the milk will continue to flow in little streams. So he can suck a few times and hold that suction and the milk is still coming out, so therefore he's still getting milk.
its quite simply my dear...if he get an excess of calcium his bones may have problem..i don't know if 12 months are the limit....but about calcium i can tell !!!! and your tits are superb,and i apreciate your videos,and your lesson for life !! and i'm weighed to get you !

I don't think of it being for food so much now as for comfort and also a boost to the immune system.

They are also advising babies now to be injected with 'pandemic flu' vaccine that contains SQUALENE.
Go see what squalene does to rats and gulf war vets.
For a disease that has been around more than half a year and has killed only 450 people.
