  • Als Bachfan finde ich das Ganze gut aber man sollte Bach auf Silbermannorgeln hören

  • I was kinda disappointed of how I played that night. I was nervous and there for I made lots of mistakes. People in the audience didn't notice but organist noticed for sure and I received a ocean of critics from organist, so, one of this days I will record it me alone in the chapel until is mistake free. Then I see if I upload it here

  • Ponytails belong on pit ponies, not on organists nor in the orchestra pit !

  • Since when there is a law that organist or classical musicians must have short hair??? Back in the baroque period they used wigs so what's wrong me having long hair and love playing the organ?

  • This ain't Sebastian's !

  • This is Johann Sebastian Bach. Is from Eight Little Prelude and Fugues book. Is not one of his famous ones like Toccata and Fugues. I made lots of mistakes playing it I know but is Bach for sure.

  • yeh, this is attributed to Bach, but he most likely didn't write it. there are a lot of things that people have assumed was Bach's just because it didn't have a name on it. Bach probably didn't write Fugue in G Major "a la gigue" either...

  • What make you belive that the book "Eight Little Prelude and Fugues" or this in particular is not Bach's??? It doesnt sound like him? Or you have a theory about it?

  • it's one of those things like the scholars believe. but i mean, let's be honest, don't you think it's a little too simple to be Bach's? they think it was probably one of his students.

  • Is possible and yes, this is way too simple compared to Bach's true potencial. The entire book are all simple organ pieces. In that book I only like 3 of 8 becouse the rest...hmmm doesnt sound convincing. But then,is common that composers wrote simple songs for students to teach the basics and maybe this book he wrote it for students and NOT necesarly for himself.

  • yeh i guess that's another way to look at it

  • As a long time musician and now a music teacher, I must say something doesn't sound right about your piece. There is no doubt the effort is there but you are playing this piece far too slowly and making far too many mistakes to be playing it live.

  • I am sure that you have been playing for probably 2 or 3 years, and thats alright, I began playing at late age myself. My advice is to keep practicing and listen to criticism when its given. No one is trying to look down on you but only help you to see your own flaws. I have confidence that you will continue to improve and become a good musician. Let me know if you need any advice.

    Best of luck,

    Paul

  • lol you guys talk like if Im unaware of my mistakes. Im fully aware of it. That peace I usualy dont make any mistakes. It so happens that in that particular day for some reason I made lot of mistakes and is the only video I got of me playing but I really dont care about it since I know my playing. People love to critizise and thats basically what they focus on. Mistakes dont make me less organist or less musician. It makes me human.

  • Well I am glad you can see your musical flaws. Now as a teacher I can't help but point out your English flaws. The music you played is called a piece not a "peace". Also I did not "critizise" your music, I did however, criticize your playing. Apparently you don't prefect anything you do. I say, if you are going to do something, do it well.

Best of luck in English and Music,

    Paul

  • Oh God! Now is about my English all because I wrote "piece" wrong. People sure enjoy to look other peoples flaws. Whats next? My hair was too long for the occasion? For a all wise mature organ teacher, it didn't quite showed in you're "grammar critic". As for "I don't prefect anything I do", well, if I do it perfect or not, I'm doing it no matter if 10,000 people criticize my flaws.

  • calm down dude! you sounded great

  • Thanks for the compliment man. I really appreciated. I'm just self critical and I do play that piece perfect when I'm alone but that day I was nervous. First time I played organ in public and I didn't expect me to play in the recital so is a shame that this is the only video I got me playing anything. Next time I see if I can play it better. But thanks again for youre compliment! :)

  • well, besides cultural things making me giggle, for an extremely easy piece, you don't play it very well. give it a couple more hours in the practice room and you'll have it. i know i'm no great organist, but i know a bad performance when i see one. practice more before performing!

  • Ok, send me a video of you playing it

  • 1. i'm not the one who performed it very badly infront of an audience.

    2. i will take a video of myself playing it as soon as possible just to prove my point.

  • when i left my previous comments, all i watched was the prelude. i stopped at the fugue before because you played it horribly slow. now that i've watched it, i see the mistakes get worse. and stop looking at your feet.

you'll have your video of me playing it by next week. mark my words.

  • surprise surprise, i took the video. it's posted as a response to this video.

  • is this a joke?

  • why is it a joke?

  • Please post more of your work. This is wonderful.

  • me like it...

mala mia que no pude ir...

    intentare la proxima, next year?

    well take care
