there is a minor comparison to one song by GM here..(monkey)..vocally not much tho..There were a couple of others who used this space funk synthesizer technique (Judson Spence on "hot and sweaty" 1988 comes to mind..and he sounded kinda similar)

SKYSPORT22: Kevin Paige was signed to Chrysalis Records. This was 1990, and Chrysalis was on the way out; Kevin was pretty much one of the more talented rats on a quickly sinking ship. His career with Chrysalis was doomed from the start. He got NO promotion whatsoever out of them. Sad.
