  • awesme man

  • It's a bit too stiff. Get into it more.

  • Beautiful...one of the best I've seen. I LOVE her graceful hands... reminds me of a ballerina.

  • I do the same dance before I use the restroom....haha

  • Cool moves

  • GREAT STUFF.

  • why do I see a lot of shakira in it. It can get better; Belly dance is so much more than this.

  • @aztequedeor yes it can! Check out Naimah and Troupe Amandari!

  • isolation is good, but where is the feminine beautiful sensitive style? the head is like wood. tribal can be very nice.

  • Beautiful, but it would have been better if she had smiled at least just a little.

  • lol her head looks like it doesnt belong to her body ...:D

  • looks like you have no legs.

  • Great drum solo, but never really understood or liked bellydancers

  • Lovelyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Lets see a smile, honey!! don't look like you are having much fun up there...

  • wonderful

  • who is this?

  • Nice! Beautiful isolations. I know it's a drum solo but it would be nice to see just a little footwork too, even if it's just changing which part of the audience you are facing.

  • can this be found as a song...??

  • Sharp isolations! Beautiful!

  • God! What I wouldn't give for some hips! It doesn't look right when I do it because I have to exagerate : (

  • you rock girl!!! Beautiful and impressive;-)

  • This kind of isolation makes me love tribal! :)

  • qe exelente¡¡bailas super¡¡ me encanta¡¡¡.bravoooooooooo

  • very Good! :D

  • I love this video ! She is a goddess :-)

  • OoOoooOo that girl can shake them hips! nice....

  • Better than I am

  • yah

  • ATS is alot more dramatic and serious almost. I think of it as the emo bellydance. The ATS peice I'm learning is much slower and we have more footwork, but then I'm dancing in a troupe. Does anyone know of a good traditional Turkish video I can watch, with less Cabaret than I seem to be finding in my searches?

  • Hello, try searching "Didem" she is a good Turkish belly dancer, hope you like it.

  • Look up Marina Darowish- she's an amazing Turkish cabaret dancer. Some of Rania's performances are good as well :-)

  • alguien sabe en donde puedo encontrar (pag web) el solo de derbake 3 de percusiones tribales ??¿ grax

  • wow she moves like she's made of rubber!

  • This is good and all, but does anyone know of any really heavy tribal drum stuff? Like things to get your adrenaline pumping?

  • i'm on the same mission

  • Need more of this kind of drumming.

  • mezmorizing.

  • What is her name?

  • Gorgeous hip work! It's okay to have facial expressions too! :)

  • Technique-wise, she's great. But her solo lacks emotion, which makes it seem dull.

  • Very good!! Excelent...congratulations, you dance very well

  • that looks like it would be an ass to pull off. thats dope.

  • Artistic

  • Beautiful Shimmies!

  • Just wow!

  • NICE!!!! downward hip locks are beautiful.

  • Wow!

    What control.

She's not moving her whole body because she is isolating.

  • This clip is like really old- she was one of the first to start using a "tribal-fusion" technique.

  • This video is only 2 years old. Carol Vance (Gypsy Caravan), Darshan (Carol's daughter), Carolena Nericcio (who copyrighted ATS) and so many others have been dancing Tribal style almost 30 years now, which is long before many of today's enthusiasts were even thought of.

  • well done

  • I love her technique, she's great! But I agree that I would have liked to see her travel around the dance floor rather than just stand in one spot. :D Great work!

  • Dude, if you wanted a dancer that took up all the dance space, you'd be looking for Turkish and Lebanese bellydance. Tribal and Egyptian style dancers don't travel across the floor. Isolation is very key in Tribal.

  • Tribal dancers don't move across the floor? Are you serious? Have you ever seen The Indigo?!?

  • Although I credit some of my dance vocabulary to The Indigo and FatChance, I did want to clarify that American Tribal dancers don't travel across the floor with the same high octane movements as Turkish (Rom/gypsy) dancers do. American Tribal tends to be more grounded and proud, while the Turkish style is very ebullient and lively.

  • I think you are confused. American Indians were much more lively. Turkish style, you basically move your hips and arms. American Indians danced with fire and required tremendous energy and physical agility. I've seen both dances. Turks are way more reserved. Also in the USA alone, there were more than 500 tribes and they all had unique styles. That means hundreds of thousands of different styles.

  • MuniNunkle, Marydance's commentary is more correct than yours. Tribal style began with Carolena Nericcio in 1987. She is the founder of American Tribal Style. ATS is a blend of middle eastern, north African, and European dance styles. It has less to do with Native American dance. Tribal has evolved into Tribal Fusion, being especially prominent in the coastal areas of the US. Two African tribes that have influenced the dance include the Ghawazee in Egypt, and the Ouled Nail in Algeria.

  • To further elaborate, dancers such as Heather Stants, Suhaila Salimpour, Rachel Brice, and Ariellah, have changed and molded Tribal style into different offshoots of the dance. It now has elements of hip hop, and street dance blended together as well. Overall, Tribal style bellydance is very modern compared to other dance forms.

  • American tribal dance began thousands of years ago with the Native Americans. Their dances are far more energetic than the one shown here. I wasn't commenting on ATS dances. Maryadance said American tribal dancers are more grounded and they're not. This dance is not American tribal dancing as it has nothing to do with American culture.

  • With all due respect, I think you have misinterpreted the subject here. Marydance referred to dancers who practice American Tribal Style. American Tribal Style dancers ARE more grounded, and improvisation is emphasized. This video is a prime example of Tribal Fusion, an outgrowth of ATS. NO ONE here is discussing Native American dance.

  • Turkish style is a little more complex than "moving your hips and arms." The movements are more lively, and celebratory. Marina on "Bellydance Divas" offers a great example of Turkish style bellydance. Contrast Turkish style with Egyptian, which resembles ballet in its refined and more constricted movements. Please continue to do more research on Middle Eastern dance.

  • I completely agree with your take on American Tribal Style and Turkish dance. I think you accurately described the essence of both styles.

  • I refer to Marydance's comments, that is...

  • Originally, Middle Eastern dance was meant to be performed in a small, confined area. Hence, isolations became key to the dance. Strong traveling movements were later integrated due to the influence of western culture. The veil is also a perfect example of a western influence to Middle Eastern dance.

  • WOW!

  • Brilliant dance technique.

Who is the artist drumming/ what track is this?

  • It's amazing! To favourites.

  • ;,,,,) Beauty

  • Woooow!!! That's great!!!

  • wow shes very good even though her costume could be better

  • ella es increible

    muy bueno

  • exquisite snake arms....love those simultaneous head 'n hip slides!! beautiful...def going to favourite

  • c tro une folllleeeeeee!!!!!

    jkiff amortttttttt

  • I think this dance is awesome...it looks mysterious. Good stuff

  • yes she is very good and so is the drumming, im very impressed. Nice vid.

  • hahah..sweet

  • tek kelimeyle süperrrrrrrrrrr! asenacım kızma harcı senı gecer bu kadın

  • Vallaha bencede!!!

  • why the hell is everyone talking about her!?

Fuck her listen to the awesome drumming!!!

    =]

  • well, no one is talking about u, bastardized child. Shush!

  • I love her!!!

  • I don't know, I think shes pretty good....she kind of reminds me of lorraine hanson

  • i see undulations and the SAME hip movement, but where is the dancing???

  • her isolations are nice and i know a lot of Tribal Fusion performers don't smile but there's a difference in looking mysterious and looking mad, she just looks pissed.

  • AMAZING ISOLATIONS!

  • exactly what I was about to say :)

  • wow very nice chest isolations...loving it!

  • Hmm...this video may seem boring to some since ATS isn't as lively as other styles of belly dancing. The point is to appreciate the wonderful control of muscles and the sharp isolations. .

  • And the head slides - that's some great coordination as well. She's not the best I've ever seen, but she's very good.

  • hi! Just to provide a little education on Tribal styles. ATS is American Tribal Style and has over 70 moves in its vocabulary which is done in group improves choreography such as Fat Chance Belly Dance and Black Sheep Bellydance ( and many others ). She is doing a fusion style

  • part 2: of bellydance that is what is now being called Tribal Fusion. Tribal mostly because of the costuming because it is not Cabaret and Fusion because it is not "traditional" bellydance. I think she did a very nice job! :) However, I would like to see a nicer arm placement and movements and facial interaction . .sometimes an eyebrow or a smirk can say alot ! :)

oh, and ATS is soo much fun when its performed with spirit! :) I love it!

  • I just love herr!!!

    SMufftinggg!

  • she should wake up and walk looks like sleep danceing jano great spot belly dance!!

  • great bud it wud be SOOO much better if sher smiled, the whole performance wud be way better

  • Tribal can even make drum solo's boring... smile a bit will you?!?! It looks like she hates what shes doing.

  • What's the name of the song here?

  • WOW nice

  • WAO

  • great isolations whole thing brilliant!

  • It's not exactley a joy to watch when she is standing still the entire time, but atleast she's great at the technique which makes it viewable.

  • she has a good handle on certain moves. I'd love to see more movement though...but better than me! :-D

  • döktürrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • i liked her!

  • she is great , control like rachel , but definitly her own style, very unique. and creative .

  • maravilhopso!!adorei!!

  • maravilhosop!

  • Great isolations!

  • nice control, feel the music a little more and you've got it!

  • i think she's lovely.... her control reminds me of rachel brice at times, which is quite a compliment.

  • To be honest, I am always on youtube looking for belly dance clips that inspire me and this girl is one of the very few that does. I find myself coming back to watch pretty often. I love the head slides with the hip slides, looks great. I also like how her costuming fades into the background, it makes it look like her torso is just floating there, dancing away! Nice job! Like the music too!

  • ...she has like 3 moves down pat...but she is to stiff...My neck starts to hurt when i watch her...SMILE

  • I agree. It was boring - the repetition. Should've turned to the left and right at some point. But she's not a terrible dancer.

  • whats her name?

  • coolllll

  • Very nice!But you could smile a little, while you're dancing!:o)

  • Your arms is amazing!! Very good!!

    Bety - Brazil

  • Dear got she is good, i havent seen some one with that much control in forever, so inspiring thank you

  • excellent. love the diva-esque/nobel posturing, gorgeous snakey-y arms, great control - thank u.

  • she is good

  • special!!

    i like the drummusic

  • not bad at all!! your really good at isolations and stuff...i liked your arm movements! :D

  • Beautiful!!!!

Elegant and relaxing to watch because the dancer has so much control.

  • Wow! She must have spent like every minute of her life working on getting this good haha :-)

  • Awesome dancer! I love tribal!

  • AWESOME!

  • She is awasome!!!! Very beautiful!!!!I don't now if I can download this video I really want to have this video on my computer...Do you think that you can send the video to my email????

  • who is? it's awesome! she don't need to smile, is tribal

  • ı want to learn from you wıth money...specıal lesson please

  • Looked absolutely beautiful to me.

  • ooooo i love u!!!!!!!!!!!! i want to dance with you

  • Hip pops need to be timed a little better (I wouldn't say so, but it is a drum solo and the hips are popping a little after the beat. The arrangement is good, drifting from upper to lower body... and the dancer is beautiful. Practice using your face as you drift from lower body to upper... then think "how's my face". It's tough to stay relaxed in a drumsolo, but I think you have all it takes to do so. peace

  • you where not supose to see her face, thats why there is no light on it....i love it

  • great drum solo and excellent isolations but the dancer looks like she's asleep. Not everyone can pull of that rachel brice stoic face thing.

  • OMG! This was awesome! The hip work is enviable, for sure.

  • Dancer needs to be a little more expressive (smile!!! show some emotion...let the audience know you are really feeling the music!), but good overall.

  • It's Tribal Bellydance, not Cabaret. They're not really supposed to smile.

  • Hi. Yes you are suppose to smile . . that is just one of the many myths ;)

some women just feel strong and mysterious so they take on that character. Me? I feel silly and smilie and I have alot of fun doing ATS :)

  • this is great - where was it taken
