Ummm...queston: what were you doing at 3:03 with her hair? I don't think this woman is ugly, by the way. She looks gentle and caring, somehow. If she wanted to make herself look better, she could grow eye brows, and use brown eye liner above her eyes, with mascara. (gotta eat, haven't watched whole vid^^ I did up to...4:30)

A good edit, although I think that when you were using the patch tool, you could have set the option to source and not destination as you were placing more spots on her. Also the chin is a bit flat (perhaps use the burn and dodge tools to make it more round). Other than that, a good edit. I disagree with those who think the woman is ugly because she's not in my opinion.

Sorry, Abhorsen and Kurix, if you disagree, but the tools and techniques used in the video were completely ineffective. Of course PS is not just for makeovers. But if you use it for that - and make an alleged tutorial about it - there are better, faster, easier and far more effective tools to use to get a much better result and still keep it looking natural. This is not a good tutorial video. Period. Go watch a few REAL tuts, and see (like iceflowstudios)

Sorry - I've seen and done a lot of makeovers and your use of some tools are completely ineffective. Patch tool is supposed to bring good skin to bad places not drag bad spots to new areas; a far more effective way to cover blemishes is spot paint on a new layer of a soft clone. That chin should have been liquified first thing, not warped. I'm afraid this tutorial will lead beginners astray. Excellent music, though!!

he might not have used the tools you would have used but the had a very realistic result.

she may not look like a top model at the end but still it makes a big difference and it still looked realistic. much of those ''experts'' at photoshop overdo it badly and make it look too fake

You make it sound like Photoshop was especially created for beauty makeovers; with tools designed for certain parts of the face and for NOTHING ELSE. Well, it's not. Every user has his own touch; and just cause you use a certain method doesn't mean someone else is doing it wrong. But then again, u ARE the specialist, right?
