  • which gps program is this? i want this for my phone.

  • mrbigtime81 you are a foul omnia i900 its a very good phone

  • i900 is fail.

  • Will it work with other program like iGo 7 or 8 ?

  • With a bit of googling I found that practically any windows mobile 6 gps software will work.

  • i tested it work...

  • i want gps!! but i cant find it in mine..

can some one tell me how!

  • Thats Thai or Chinesse!!

  • It is Vietnamese. They were testing the GPS to find a route within Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.

  • What language?

  • hehe spoko spoko :D muszę mieć ten telefon

  • i dont have gps where can you get it?

  • you need search en internet , there are much information. in charts and foros.

sorry , but my inglish is bad.

  • hahaah

  • lol frikin vietnamese voice of the navigation system makes me laugh

  • hey man,

Where did u download that gps?

  • doch haw med, shob jeb dwai ...gaun wan bbomben war bobmen, ahaha what kinda language is that ?

  • men when its in gps mode it sucks bateries fast. MY brand new last for half a day

  • im now in dutchland and i get a i900 for 22,45 euro´s per month 2 years long i dont buy it i hate buy

  • Do all the Omnias come with pre loaded maps of the country that you buy the phone in? or do you have to buy them as with Nokia?

  • How would you compare it too HTC Touch HD, coming soon

    any disappointments with this phone

should i wait or get the Samsung ?

  • Wow, I am looking for this GPS map for VietNam, anyone know where I can get it ?

  • Why do this in noisy public place????

  • To establish credible PDOP. Look it up.

  • idiot!

  • route 66?

  • hi author, what is the name of the software showed in this video?

  • not a very impressive looking satnav device. It's not very smooth. And it would appear you have to keep pressing the screen to stop it from blacking out, how inconvenient.

  • its a phone what u expect, thats awesome considering its main purpose isnt GPS

  • I expect more. This piece of kit is costing around £500, so I would expect it to perform at least as well as a £99 tomtom one device. Which it doesn't

  • You can set the phone not to power-save solving your problem. Failing that plug in the charger unit....it will then stay on till you tell it to go to sleep.

  • Just out of interest, have you seen a mobile phone yet which meets your standard? Not looking to debate, just looking for info as my standard is as high as yours! Thanks,

  • actually yes. I got an HTC touch diamond, went to XDA developer's website and installed the latest and fastest radio and ROM upgrades, then installed iGO 8 along with "quick GPS" (came with the ROM). It works flawlessly and I get a GPS lock within 20 seconds. The Diamond has an in built graphics card which helps. Battery is naff, but it lasts the day and I charge it at night. Plus batteries are cheap to replace (very cheap on ebay). Hard work (about a day's research needed) but worth it!

  • Did you not consider installing iGO 8 on the Omnia? I have also heard that Route66 can confirm a lock on your location within 10 seconds. The omnia also has a 624mhz CPU, which is faster than most other Pocket PC's.

  • I haven't actually used an omnia extensively, but from what I tested, it was quite slow and didn't make good use of the touch screen. My main concern is that the full potential of the device may never be found despite the impressive hardware features due to lack of ROM development to speed up the device. HTC have lots of people working on their ROMs whilst Samsung have been much slower in bringing out their software updates, which often turn out to be useless gimmicky add ons

  • phones4u has started offering it but says the it wouldn't come with the GPS app. Currently, Orange is the only operator in UK offering it but won't include free internet unless u buy £55/month tariff, how SAD!

  • does the gps comes with the phone?

and using the gps is free?

  • At least in my country this Smarthphone comes with Route 66 navigation Software with Iberia Map (Portugal + Spain), which means you don't have to connect to the internet and download google map data in order to navigate (like in the Iphone).

And one more thing. Since this phone Operating System is Windows Mobile, you can purchase any software out there for PDA/Smartphones like TomTom, Navigon, Ndrive etc, and use it on this phone.

    Regards.

  • and if your from Singapore or Malaysia you get NavFone from Agis free.

  • wow it seems that this has turn by turn directions with voice guiding, i wonder if it will recalculate if you go off course. i am trying to decide between this and the XPERIA

  • can you tell me if it comes with uk maps loaded in english?? or how do you install these maps??

  • i900 support a lot of map navigation. In UK you can use R66, Tomtom...

  • how much does it cost?

  • HAHA. What language is that? It's so adorable... cute actually - that they think that's a real language.

  • Use Vietmap navigation solution for Vietnam only, 64 provinces map solution, and support Vietnamese language, English, Korean, Japan..:)

  • Can't Waitttttttt!!!

    Hurry NL, import this one!!!!!

  • wat software are u using?

  • Vietmap navigation software for Vietnam user

  • Damn...I want to have this phone! Vodafone Germany hurry up! Give me the Iphone-Killer... LOL

  • Does this work on the internet? :(

  • GPS need to get data (MAP) to work.

Data can download from Server (internet, google, or what ever provider) or from inside the phone (Memory card, inside memory)

It is depend on your GPS program work

With Google Map, you need to connect to internet through wifi, 3G, EDGE..

In my case, Vietmap dont need connect to network.

    Tkx

  • drive carefully? lol...kind of hard to do it when u r in VIETNAM!!! hahahhaha.....i love vietnam...

  • how the hell can some1 in Vietnam have this kind of phone??? argh!!!!

  • Thank you..

  • The Samsung i900 Omnia has in my opinion the better package as the I-phone! The I-phone is a good moblie, there is no doubt, but the price is high and you can't make videos with it.

  • iPhone 3G... fake price... stupid battery... non microSD... (lol)

  • and no decent bluetooth or camera

  • cool video.

  • shit this is already in vietnam

australia hurry up and release this phone!

  • so the omnia is already available in asia? by any chance, do you know how much it costs?

  • i think it costs somewhere upwards of $400 USD

  • w/ 2yr contract w/ verizon its $200

  • on top of what i said too, the $400 is for the unlocked. i do agree w/ baddestbart too.

  • you can download maps from nokia website so it is for free for n95

  • For N95, you need to purchase the map and need to connect to internet. For i900 the map is offline (mean: the map is on the phone, dont need to download)

  • i900 GPS is total difference with N95 GPS. The map come free with phone, you just purchase the phone, dont need to buy map. And..depend on your country also.

  • do you have to pay (subscribe) for the gps service like the nokia n95 or is it free

  • Samsung i900 Omnia or Iphone 3G? Which one is the best?

  • i900 is far away better, iphone 3G stands no chance even with 2 year old Nokia N-series devices
