Ah, well, it's because, during casting of "The Legend of Dirty Bum," I threw up my hands in frustration when trying to find actors who were also martial artists and exclaimed jokingly, "That's it! Next movie I do will be called 'Zombie Ninjas' and I'll put all the martial artists in ninja costumes so they don't have to act and all the actors won't have to know martial arts!" The idea stuck!

We're doing a read with some potential actors this weekend. The script will be ready soon for "Zombie Ninjas: The Smoking Gun" and, depending on location availability, we'll be shooting February or March. It would have been sooner but I was out sick over the holidays.

Haha ... the actors are trained martial artists. It's amazing how people think that martial arts in movies is about realism. Our cast and crew were accosted by gang members during shooting and it was a very different experience than a movie fight scene.

Big budget fight scenes have a lot of options we didn't have. I think for our budget and time constraints, these guys did an awesome job!

Nice, I liked. And it looked great when you fast forwarded those slow punches so they looked more authentic. I don't know how it would have ended up if you would have used more Fast Forward..Few of those kicks where pretty slow motion :)

Haha ... yeah, the point was to take the whole video, starting with the kids in slomo at one point, and have a constant acceleration of pace.

I've been doing a lot of research into martial arts films and most of them are sped up martial arts that are done a lot slower. Even Jackie Chan and Jet Li, though some fans will hate me for saying it. ;-)

Aw, thanks, you guys! My screening didn't go as well. Those kids in that daycare just kept crying and crying. I don't think they liked it very much. LOL

Seriously, the parents looked at me funny when I told their kids to eat Geoffrey's back. The kids put their faces in the gore and Orin said, "Hey, it tastes good!" Yes, I answered, "It's rasberry jello, with half the water." Everyone laughed except Geoffrey, who was being eaten at the time. ;-)
