  • one terrific version.

  • Весёлые ребята :)

  • much closer to Buckley's original than This Mortal Coil's one. Very listenable but i prefer the other two...yeh.

  • Pretty harmony. This song would be great with a whole choir.

  • Motal coils version is good in an 80s sense. These are just classic lyrics. I like the vocal harmony . The effect of the guitar is like an underwater sort of vibe that kind of gives it a 60s feel similiar to Crimson and clover. I always come back to listen to these videos, the lyrics just draw you inn.

  • tekst!!! lyric!!!

  • Truly beautiful, thanks.

  • Full of Feeling, amazing

  • really nice version - it's easy to understand why musicians are drawn to this song

  • GOOD SONG!!

  • This one is even more mellow than the Buckley's version......

  • Very good <3

  • Great version. Very hypnotic. Wonderful texture in the sound.

First song I have heard from the ex Galaxie 500 pair.

  • Thet remind me of another UK band similar time to Cocteay Twins 'Everthing but the girl'...

  • Arrghhh I got my fact all wrong!! it is a Tim Buckley original, sorry about that.

  • Very nice cover to This Mortal Coil Original...

Good sound by Damon & Naomi!

  • this is not a this mortal coil original song. this mortal coil covered this song. this was a tim buckley song.

  • Wow, this video just revived my Naomi crush. :D

  • I saw them open for Wilco in Nashville in 2002...their song "the great wall" made me order their dvd/cd. I only wish I could have seen them at Terrastock.

  • que pésima versión...wekcsss

  • should add Michio Kurihara from ghost up there... ghost is a badass band he deserves his credit.. he performed with damon & naomi alot.

  • Never knew he worked with them. Did he help out during this era when they covered this song? If so, I will add his name up there.

  • Michio Kurihara is playing guitar in this video.

  • @00SoldierofFortune00 Most certainly. He's featured in this video, even -- the Japanese guy standing up to Naomi's left. :-)

  • @00SoldierofFortune00 That's him in the video, I believe. The one playing electric guitar.

  • no its not ignore me but what is the version in the film its likea woman singing.

  • it IS a woman!!

  • sydkds is this the version in the film?

  • Hey dude i heard this from candy too the other night on channel 4. The song makes me cry because it reminds me of the film.Beautiful song and beautiful film. I have watched the film 3 times this week lol.

  • what film are you talking about?:)

  • Candy (2006)

  • Such a beautiful film... (sigh)

  • who are these lads? first heard the song from film candy other night, and found so many versions here since, but i think coz i heard that version first, and the power of the film,so moving...,lads you do a blinder

  • crying...

  • I LOVE ALL VERSIONS OF THIS SONG, Especially this one is good.

  • obviously haven't heard the pop version done by Half Man Half Biscuit

  • probléma megoldva ^^ (*ölel) :-)

  • please, help me!!!! Does anyone know, how can I download this video?? thanks

  • Both those chicks are smoking hot!

  • BOTH WHAT CHICKS?

  • I would disagree. Sheila Chandra's version with violins and cellos is pretty sweet. Robert Plant's is good too.

  • cant beat "this mortal coils" version. no one can though

  • I agree with that, but this is a nice alternative.

  • @dollhousemassacre what about buckley? the ultimate.

  • @dollhousemassacre tim buckleys version is the best by a far!! followed by john frusciante!

  • By far the best version of the song. Great Job!!!

  • Really nice but I do prefer Tim Buckley

  • Me too, this is really nice but Tim Buckley's voice.......was there ever anything like it. What a loss

  • i heart this!

  • wow... and i thought ivri lider's version was haunting and melancholic enough...

  • rules !

  • mind blowing..

  • This song is timeless, no matter whoever will be singing it. They all did it quite well, because the magic is in the song, not in the singer.

  • Good! - its from: Song to the Siren: Live in San Sebastian/+DVD (2002)

  • who is this?

like what is the band name?

  • The band is Galaxy 500 / Damon & Naomi ;)

  • its just damon & naomi with ghost. no dean wareham here.

  • How could i have been alive this long and never have herd this song? Haunting, beautiful, poetic. The camera capturing the effects and what the musicians are playing during the song is an added bonus. Well done!

  • At least you've heard it now. :) I was young when this song came out, it knocked my socks off then and still does. You might also like Leonard Cohen. He has a similar beautiful melancholy in his songs.

  • Everly Brothers meet Tim Buckley. Great sound.

  • this is by far the best rendition of song to the siren. damon & naomi was a good turn of events for the two galaxie 500 members..

  • Nice voices, nice harmony's and a nice song.Just great !!!!

  • Wow, this is haunting. Why the change in the second verse? "Were you there when I was false" sounds like "were you there when I was fox." Hmm...

  • That's because it's "were you hare, when I was fox". That's how the lyrics go.

Great harmonies, guys, keep up the good work.

  • Other versions are flotsam instead of fox

  • a really great cover guys...Keep up the good work...

  • beautiful. well done guys i really really liked this video id give it 10/10 very smooth and beautiful

  • can you put any more videos of damon & naomi live? greetings from lima, perú

  • You did a great job!

  • Didn't know this version before. Beautiful voices harmonies. But with a so beautiful song, can you do s... ?
