hey bro my line keeps geting caught with my bands not letting the spear come out all the way this happens rarely but its annoying im not using mono line..but im guessing its not the line??? if you know pls let me know
if you have an spear reel how you lock the mono line at the reel , cus i see a crimp wont work and when a mono is 200 + lb is hard to make a nut on it , any info or maybe a video will help thank for all the great videos and ideas.
@kau16 The mono I use I bought at Florida Freedivers when I was down there, it's blue. The black mono in the video I got from our OMER distributor. The yellow is Dyneema cord. All are 400lb test. Actually the Dyneema may be more.
I usually crimp into the groove of the figure 8 first, then crimp the sides in. Just an FYI, Crimping pliers are not exclusive to diving. You may find them at a hardware (home improvement) store, automotive store, boating store etc...
I would suggest a pair of pliers or some other device to crush the crimps in a controlled fashion. You don't want the crimp completely flat either. If you MUST use a hammer, be careful and only crush it enough to hold the mono.
can u eye splice the line to the shaft?

Thanks Mate, I thought they were specially designed for spearing. In that case maybe I can find one at homepro. Thanks man.
