I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I got the DVD thrown in when I bought a few DVD's while in Hong Kong in 2007!! Wonderful movie - but I can see why it did not sell: Crowe plays a real money-whore that nobody likes - and he inherits a vineyard – that makes the best wine ever (undercover) – he makes more money and falls in love with the beautiful towns girl that nobody can get!! COME ON - not even in Hollywood does this happen!!! Well, except for this movie!!! I still think it was wonderful!!!

I am nearly done with the book. Unfortunately the film, at least from what I see of this trailer, slaughters the book. The book was fine as it was. Hopefully they do not destroy the story about the wine.

I caught this on IFC a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I like pretty much anything with Russell Crowe and this was no exception. A pleasant surprise.
