@baileyricee Um, no. Pixar was part of LucasFilm, then sold to Steve Jobs (of Apple) in the '80s. In the '90s Disney inked a deal with Pixar to make some animated feature films. Disney was simply the distributer/marketer. Then in '06 Disney used stock to acquire Pixar (and Steve Jobs is now the largest shareholder at Disney).

For my personal opinion Ratatouille, Wall-E, UP and Toy story 3 were/are the best movies of their year. each one had more originality than any other movie in the last years. i like those pixar's films the best, though i love all of the other movies (except for Cars which i found mediocre, mainly because i'm not american)
