i just fucking love biffy clyro and not one of their albums has let me down they are just an amazing band and can't wait till their next brilliant album
I am gonna be honest here - I actually haven't heard a full song off Puzzle or that other new one they did. I stopped listening to them in 05, around the time this whole early 2000s post-hardcore thing (biffy, million dead, reuben, hundred reasons, kinesis, hell is for heroes, milo) died a death at the hands of Razorlight
its funny on the videos of the older Biffy songs on youtube, the highest rated commentis about how people say they're fans of Biffy and havent heard any of their first 3 albums, and the second is one of those "fans" going " OMG!!!! SIMON HAS NO BEARD :O:O " :L
Love bens voice, really want him to sing more in songs to come, im guessing its quite difficult whilst playing the drums like he does !! ... love this song :) Love all of them
I would say that the fact that their addopting of more mainstream styles coincides with their move to a mainstream label is no coincidence.
That was a bit of a confusing sentence.
What I mean is that Biffy's new mainstream style is probably thanks to 14th Floor who just want Biffy to appeal to as big an audience as possible so they can sell them as much as possible.
Listen to their B-sides and see them live if you still think they themselves have changed.
@TheNeutralFan I dont really think they have gone mainstream, they still have their weird time signatures and strange riffs and stuff, it's still biffy to me
@markbray69 Perhaps, but there's no doubting that a lot of their new songs (Saturday Superhouse, The Captain, etc.) do somewhat miss the classic Biffy touch that you find here. Songs like 9/15ths and Living is a Problem help to redress the balance, but there's no doubting that Biffy would be making much more classic Biffy-ish music if 14th Floor weren't meddling.
It seems, however, that they are letting Biffy loose on their B-sides. Some of those are fucking incredible.
@TheNeutralFan can you please list me some of their decent new b-sides? Im a big avid fan of their first 2 albums, and if they are still the same Biffy from that long ago please let me know!
Well, try Hermaphrofright, Coward, And With the Scissorkick is Victorious, A Headline, Miracle of Survival, Asexual Meat Kitchen, the Buddy Holly and Take Me Out covers (not really B-sides but awesome nevertheless, particularly the former), Cracker, Creative Burns, Lonely Revolutions, Relief or Flight, Eye Lids and Hawkwind. Those should keep you going for a while.
To be honest, the best way to find them is just by exploring the Suggestions tab on these songs.
@SMuj17 totaly agree and the exact same thing happened with me
i found out about them trough their performance last year at reading i then bought puzzles and OV but i also listened to all their other albums and apsalutly loved them .
i now have seen them 3 more times and they are my favorite band EVER :D
@feztheferret Inme are still good! There new album was a bit of a dissapointment but still had some good songs on it and good riffs :P but yeah biffy are still uber!
@SMuJ17 Puzzle did it for me :) whos got a match i was addicted to. unfortunately my dad had the album and i could only listen to it in his car, because i werent aloud to take it out :( he soon moaned why he was driving me around all the time ;) i got to take it out then hahaha after puzzle i listened to these songs, then only revolutions came out !!
Im not gonna lie the people who only like them through matt cardle piss me off !especially when they say 'its matt cardles song' :|
I love biffy clyro, a real band who sound real live and have produced way more than one amazing album to get them to where they are today. They truly deserve way more appreciation because they are amazing and slowly but surely the world is starting to realise that
@limie316 not really.. i dont even like most of this music anymore more into grime n hip hop now but i still love biffy clyro and have heard all of their albums
Everytime someone gives me an iTunes card, (Yeah I still buy and download music like a loser) I search for a new exciting band that I can listen to all the time because I'm tired of the same old... So I found these guys and think they are amazing. Being able to pull off beautiful, clean, emoish songs like this and hard, heavy prog rock is a rare amazing feat and I respect and love them for it. :) <3 Love the cds I got. Thanks biffy.
I'm not going to lie, i got into biffy after i heard folding stars when i was younger, but then i kinda forgot about them...then one day i heard machines on a kerrang top 10 something or other and i fell in love instantly, and bought each of their albums (this was before only revolutions) i do not prefer any album over any other, they are equal in my eyes and track the beautiful progression through their career as musicians, they are as excellent as they ever were.
should i feel bad that i bought their singles 2001-2005 but only have puzzle and only resolutions - i feel i need to buy all their albums cause i'm in love with this song and the rest 27, 57 etc etc!!
Biffy's earlier stuff etc, etc,.............Not a s good as their older stuff etc, etc...............No one knows their first few albums etc, etc. It's like people are reading from a script, if Biffy had released Puzzle and Only Revolutions and not gotten popular the same people would be saying it's a shame no one knows those albums because they're so good
@getmedjr puzzle i'll give you but the songs on revolutions are really predictable and don't have that unique feeling that makes the first couple of albums so great
similar situation to kings of leon. all you idiots freaked out when people became fans of their older albums. the exact same thing will happen with biffy. is their music not for new and old fans alike? that is what makes them a great band.
It's a shame that Biffy fans can't get along very well.
I heard about Biffy from my Scottish friends, and they sent me every album they had when I went to visit. I started listening the day before Only Revolutions came out. I admit, I did like Only Revolutions more than the other stuff at first, but I came to love it all. All of the old fans getting mad at the new ones need to realize that sooner or later, they WILL hear the old Biffy, and love it just the same.
@MrHarrisonnosirrah Nope you're wrong :) Blackened Sky was 2002, Simon would have been 22 when it came out, as it was released in March or April and his birthday is in August. This song was released in late 2001 so Simon still would have been 22 in this video, and the twins would have been 21.
@Praktical i have re-checked and your right! sorry about that i just remember seeing an interview in 2001 of Biffy at T in the park and simon said he was 16 but i dunno :)
people sa they love bffy clyro but they only love one song (many of horror). but if it wasnt for the people who watch X factor they wouldnt even know the band exist! It's like journey last year on glee. they need to stop doing covers and come up with thei own songs!!!!!!
young simon neil makes me tingle. I love these guys, i started listening to them when i heard only revolutions, now i can honestly say there old stuff is genius

They even posted a piece on their website for 'the guy with the blue flag' and that was me. I absolutely love them to death and they've never let me down! They deserve success from recent albums and regardless, THEY still know who the real fans are!
@Limie316 I love biffy and have heared them all. Seen them twice and will see them a third in july. Just because people jump on the band wagon doesnt mean its a bad thing, these guys deserve their success and there recent albums have gained a bigger audiance.
@Limie316 Hardly everyone :/ are you another twat who hates anyone who likes puzzle and or? i pity you. This is an outstanding song from a wonderful album. for me Vertigo wasn't as good and I didn't like Infinity. However I have no problem with people that like those albums. Biffy haven't sold out just grown and in many ways improved
Ben is an absolutely amazing musician. They all are of course, but whenever Ben starts singing I just fall in love with yet another already-amazing Biffy Clyro song.
Can't blame Simon wearing a high guitar, ever try to play an instrument slung down round your crotch? its a complete bitch on flexibility & the wrist. 90% of talented musicians on guitar/bass etc will wear it up around the belly or higher & if not they put a ridiculosu tilt on the neck so the lower frets are up around the tummy.
As in he is wearing it high ''fior the look''? Doubt it if so, the whole Paul McCartney/Buddy Holly height of wearing instruments isn't as ''cool'' looking as the likes of say Cobain.
Like i said regardless they put on a damn good live show, he could have the guitar above his head for all i fucking cared & i'd still see Simon as a brilliant front-man
@tvrulesnation im saying i like it either way, biffy clyro are the inspration for my band. and yes, i do have my guitar slung up to my belly. it's a bit sad that you gave me a percentage figure on how many musicians have a high slung guitar
MON THE FUCKING OLDDD BIFFFFYYYY!!!!!!!!!! SIMON TAKE UR FINGER OUT UR ASS AND WRITE SOME STUFF LIKE THIS!!!!!!! POST ON EVERY BIFFY VIDEO IF U WANT THEM TO XXXXXXXX
My favourite album of Biffy's is Only Revolutions, but i love their old songs such as Justboy, 57, Theres No Such Thing as a Jaggy Snake & Glitter and Trauma.
biffy was over the moment they left beggers. i'v got nothing against them, because they left some great memories. it's just they outgrew my pockets. it was the same for alot of people. there is something to be said for intimacy in music and I just haven't felt that since seeing them in the tiny venues/living rooms that made me fall in love with their music. so R.I.P biffy indeed.

woah, a shirt on, a particularly low hung guitar. OLD BIFFY RULE
JaMprodutions100 1 year ago
@JaMprodutions100
Unreal song either wyas
tvrulesnation 1 year ago
@tvrulesnation nah its prob all about the look to be fair man....
kiancaster 1 year ago
@kiancaster
As in he is wearing it high ''fior the look''? Doubt it if so, the whole Paul McCartney/Buddy Holly height of wearing instruments isn't as ''cool'' looking as the likes of say Cobain.
Like i said regardless they put on a damn good live show, he could have the guitar above his head for all i fucking cared & i'd still see Simon as a brilliant front-man
tvrulesnation 1 year ago
@tvrulesnation im saying i like it either way, biffy clyro are the inspration for my band. and yes, i do have my guitar slung up to my belly. it's a bit sad that you gave me a percentage figure on how many musicians have a high slung guitar

@rhysb94 Just boy means he's just a boy, he's not mature enough. That's why there's that lyric "I'm feeling half the man".

biffy was over the moment they left beggers. i'v got nothing against them, because they left some great memories. it's just they outgrew my pockets. it was the same for alot of people. there is something to be said for intimacy in music and I just haven't felt that since seeing them in the tiny venues/living rooms that made me fall in love with their music. so R.I.P biffy indeed.
