  • My spring will not fit in the middle of the cyclone feed, there isn't a spot to put it in, whenever i try putting it in it either falls out or there wont be a spot to put it in at all

  • Thank you do much man

  • can you help i may be stupid asking this but my hopper wont come off

  • hey i sometimes get ball breaks in my cyclone and i use good paint any tips or reasons why its happening?

  • @scarface30111 your cyclone may not be clean, or paint is getting stuck as the cyclone keeps spinning breaking the ball

  • i have the new a5 and there is alot more parts any help

  • helped me soo much thx!

  • This is exactly the video i needed. My cyclone feed system of my new 2011 A-5 just stopped working. I disassembled it, but made it worse. I now know what I did wrong, and will make sure to check every crevice for problems. Thank you!

  • Thanks man i watched this so i could fix mine and i noticed the plastic tube was supposed to be inside the spring mechanism! I can start using my cyclone and not my gravity feed :)

  • When i push the lever to spin the paddles it only will spin half way and stop, then i have to push the paddles with my finger to make it click back in place, any help please??

  • i have no aftermarket parts, but my cyclone paddles over rotate causing ball chops. how can i fix this??

  • awsome dude , i couldnt figure out where that small O ring went . thanks

  • how often should i clean my cyclone?

  • i bought the cyclone upg and it was put together already and everything then when i put on my gun and test fired it with air the cyclone wouldn't spin any help? plz

  • After I have opened the bottom en put it back together, I attached my compressed air tank to the marker and now the air escapes through the gun and when I put my finger on the muzzle the air escapes through the cyclone feed! Any idea how this is possible and what I can do about it to fix it again? Thanks!

  • Can the Tippmann A-5 Cyclone feed system be used one the BT-4 combat ? I know the Tippmann 98 can take the A-5 cyclone feed it has the piston housing air adapter on the gun. Does the BT-4 also have that? I know about the Rip Clip but I want mechanical not electric.

  • why do u keep ur barrel adapter out?

  • my cyclone is broken help please. my tippmann x7 phenom has it attached and on semi and full auto modes it fires two rounds and i have to manually reload the cyclone with the button thing...dont know its name

  • Where do you put the spring pin because I toke mine apart so that I could clean it and then put it back but the spring wasn't in the right place so my cyclone wasn't working

  • There is a white piece that is broken that looks like its holding a bolt. I dont know what it is but recently, my whole cyclone feed wont work.

  • on my tippmann A5 there is a black screw above my cyclone feed adjustmant screw... i was wondering what that is for and what is does

  • can this be done on the pcs us5?

  • can this be done on the pcs us5?

  • at 1:05 replace those qevs!!! trick.

  • hey i just bot a tippmann A5 with cyclone feed. i cant figure out the cyclone feed. can u make a video about instructions on how to make it

  • how to make it? its not already assembled? it should just be assembled and ready to shoot out of the box

  • Hey im getting this its my first paintball gun can u give me tips man?

  • Go to krasharpshooter. com and read through the articles that I have posted.

  • for all you whos cyclones dont work the rachet is broken and you have to push it for it to shoot once and it wont come back out, you can buy them cheap

  • Hey Kevin, i was wondering, that if you can use vasiline, cuz like my dad said that it works best with orings. but idk you should do a test :)

  • I took my cyclone apart for the first time and am having trouble putting it back together. the spring / tension bar will not stay put,, it was snug and tight when i removed it but, now its very loose and just falls out of place. the cyclone will not feed paintballs too. help?

  • nevermind, i figured it out. lol. weird how that works. I just needed to seat the piston housing properly.. :)

  • did u change the stars? because my stars are white

  • Stars??? Do you mean paddles??

The black ones are older. The newer A-5's come with the clear/white paddles that are softer. They are the same as the X7 paddles.

  • yea i meant paddles, my friends say stars so i just started to say it to,

  • i have a question my a5 will only shoot two ball before i have to press that pushy thing on the right side then it shoots twice again and again so can anyone help?

  • me to but i push mine once and then i click the button on the cyclone shot once click shoot one click..?

  • my cyclone, wen you put everything back together, and i push in the push rod and it will click. but then it wont push back out.

    Any help??

  • Ensure that your screws on the bottom aren't to tight. This will prohibit your Cyclone from cycling.

  • @KRASHARPSHOOTER my cyclone only cycles the first time because the piece with the ninety degree bend keeps detaching from the gear how can i fix this?

  • I was taking mine apart and you the line with the two screws on the end, one of the o-rings fell off and I don't know where it goes.

    can someone help me?

  • Simply : Thanks a lot !

  • how do u line up the holes in the banjo screws or do they line up when u skrew them in

  • There is a groove in the banjo fittings so that you do not have to preciselly line them up, but some people do stress the importance of getting the holes lined up for better air flow.

The problem with this is that you have to either leave the screw a little loose, which I see as worse than having the hole not lined up, or you get some more o-rings for the fittings so that they act as spacers.

  • on the ratchet there is that one stick thing that holds the paddles. i cant get it back in the ratchet fully and im already being to forceful i dont want to break the spring that holds it or the ratchet itself. can any one help?

  • put everything back into the cyclone then put the spring in. if that still doesn't work. the big spring that goes into the cyclone piston housing might not be in all the way the black plastic tube should be hidden inside the piston housing

  • thanks dude great vid... I got mine back together pritty quick. thanks LOT

just wondering is the softer paddles better on the gun for not breaking paint

  • Well done man, great to see a well shot video, i'll refrence your stuff when people ask me for a breakdown,

    Keep it up!

    -WOLF

  • On my A5. The first part you took off, the tube that sends air to the cyclone, the hollow screw broke and I don't know what it would be called to buy it. does anyone know??

  • how would you take off the screw if u have a responce trigger attached to it?

  • i jut got my new tippman a5 but when i shoot it the cyclone will not feed any balls do you have any ideas of what might be the problem

  • Scan these threads: a5og. net/ cyclone-feed-system/

  • same prob with mine, the white thing inside the feeder was broke

  • is it worth the $60 bucks to get the cyclone system?, does it work good with full auto?

  • I was curious today and decided to use your video to take apart my CycloneFeed system. I did everything EXACTLY like you did, and it won't work anymore. Suggestions?

  • Hey, I did what you did, because my gins been actin like crap since I bought it, skipping balls and goin all choppy on my ass. But, once I did it, my cyclone won't spin. When I push the thing to make it spin, it goes down, stops, and doesn't go back or spin, any suggestions?

  • Make sure that the screws on the bottom of the Cyclone aren't to tight.

  • Yeah man, tried that, I even tried it without the screws in, won't work. :P

  • eazy you just pull it off or twist and pull if it makes it anyeazer

  • how do u remove the hopper from the cyclone system i cant figure it out and i dont wanna break it

  • when looking down at the Cyclone, rotate the hopper clockwise. It should twist a bit and stop. Then just lift it off.

  • would mineral oil work?? or hb smart parts sleek silicon lube

  • Mineral Oil will NOT work. Silicon Lube might work if it is a grease. DO not use oil. Only Grease.

  • when you say white grease. could i use smart parts white silicon lube

  • ok when u said hold the bottem and try it out. my rod that u push on and out, wont come bac, whats wrong???

  • you my friend are a life saver ty so much!!! =)

  • thank you so much you helped me figure out how to put my cyclone back together.

  • my cyclone feed system is not working cause of the manual clicky thingy whatever you call it is not clicking every time i press it

  • actualy u can put the paddle on the wrong way. you can put it on upside down

  • True, but I meant that the 'D' part in the middle only fits one way & hopefully people are smart enough to see how i did it. :)

  • I am having a problem with the spring clip. When I have all the paddles on and everything assembled I put the spring clip on. I put the cover on it, but not screw it on like you did in the video, then press the manual feed one time and it clicks but doesn't spring back. So I look in the bottom and the arm is pushing in on the arm but the device that holds the paddles doesn't go back to the slot neither does the spring clip. Hope this is clear enough for you to help me.

  • I had the same problem. I noticed that at around 4:00, he pulls the small plastic sleeve back into the piston, rather than letting it stay in the main body of the system, put really putting it in the small arm that connects to the piston. There should be some spring tension. Also, make sure the small metal "spring" is pushed all the way down into the groove. Hope that helps!

  • Thank you so much 4 this video. Ive finally worked out how to put mine back together after 5 hours of playing with it.

  • after taking my feed apart i was assembling it back and the feed doesnt go all the way around. the cript is like a cm away from the place where it locks in everytime you spin it

  • kannon :)

  • i need help fixing my cyclone, and the screw that you touch at 2:15), i am a new to paintball and bought an a-5 and when i was test firing my gun it suddenly stopped feeding in paintballs, so i went to the guy at the counter and he took it apart and told me that a screw (the one that you touch at 2:15) wore down and told me to buy an aluminum one. anyways i was wondering what the name of the screw was and if you knew were to buy one.

  • Just take your busted screw(or you can take your whole Cyclone) to a hardware store(ei: Ace Hardware) and an employee should be able to help you pick out the right screw to replace it.

  • thanks, stupid of me to not think of that =P thanks again!

  • Have you upgraded your paddles yet? If so, which one did you choose and why?

  • I chose the WARGEAR paddles because they came in RAP4's Complete Cyclone Upgrade Kit. The WARGEAR paddles are great, but the Ratchet was bad and had to be replaced. If I was doing it again, I would go with TechT's Squishy Paddles because they are a little nicer looking. I will be getting TechT's complete kit for my other A-5 soon.

  • thanx

  • is it the same way for a cyclone feed on a 98

  • Disassembling the Cyclone shell is the same(internals are identical). just taking it off the marker is different.

  • Great video it's a heck of a lot better than those guys with shaking cameras and bad lighting. Thanks!

  • hello, i have the same problem as hanz1334 im interested in upgrading to the cyclone feed system, but i wouldn't know how to put the dang thing on, do you have vids, pics, etc

  • ummm....how much does a paintball gun cost?

  • Hi, I don´t know if you can upload a video showing how to install a cyclone system on a 98 custom, or send me a link?

    Thanks

  • Sending message.

  • Im having a little trouble, I followed everything shown in the video but, everytime i go to reassemble, and click the reset button on the piston housing the rachet doesnt seem to work properly and the paddles dont move properly, any suggestions?

  • Check that the Ratchet spring is in the correct position.

  • Look 2 below this for another one of mine, any suggestions?

  • Just gonna say this video kick ass!

I just took out the stock paddles and installed the TechT squishy paddles on my A5 and they are phenomenal (product placement anyone?), if it werent for this video I would've had to pay for that service.

5 out of 5 and keep it up!!

  • I am having a little trouble, I can not find any mistakes in my assembly and I can manualy pump it but I can not seem to get it going with c02. Any suggestions?

  • i'm just curious can you mod a A-5 to put on a Q-LOADER?

  • Yes you can! PM'd you a link.

  • thank you

  • Thank you so much for your video. It helped me out so much. I wasn't so much that my cyclone was dirty, it was that the little spring was bent so when i would fire the paddles wouldn't move. All i had to was bend it a little the other way. Thanks again

  • i fixed my gun, thanks for ur help it turns out that the bolt i ordered offline doesnt work or something but when i ordered it,it said it fits a-5s and 98's but i found a stock bolt and put it in and it works. Also ur videos helped so much now i know how to completley dissassemble my a-5.

  • ...and then the cyclone feed will just seperate from the a5...(yank, yank, ...pop)

    lol

  • it was leaking from the barrel at one point then it stopped and then it leaked from the macroline peice but im pretty sure i fixed tht with the teflon and it doesnt really sound like its leaking now but it still seems as if not enough air is getting to it or something.

  • As long as you cock the marker before pressurizing it you won't have trouble with gas leaking out the barrel.

The only thing I can think of for the Cyclone not spinning is that your ratchet might be stripped. Go to time 2:15 in the video and right where my thumb is pointing at the ratchet(the ratchet is the white piece) is where you want to see if there's any damage.

\/ Link in next comment \/

  • This link shows how it should look. (remove the spaces)

    pbupload . com / data / 573 / ratchet . jpg

  • i tried teflon but it didnt work,it seems as if not enough air is getting to it and it makes the wierd farting noise as if it was empty which its not.and the cyclone doesnt spin.

  • If you have a LPK I think you need an upgrade on the Cyclone for it to operate at a lower pressure, although I'm not completely sure of this. I would also check all the gas lines to make sure there's no blockage in any of them.

And you still didn't say where it's leaking...

  • my a-5 is leaking and idk wht to do i have a low pressure kit but i was using co2 is tht y?

  • Where is it leaking? If it's leaking around an air fitting you can just rap some tephlon tape around the threads and that should fix it. If it's leaking out the barrel when you first screw in the tank then you need to cock the marker first. C02 and a LPK should work fine together.

  • thx very much for your vid. much appreciated.
