My fave has always been Adrian, sigh. (See fencing seen in The Fantasticks for more) But Jack added huge warmth and humor to the show. Never cared that much for Joey or Aveline. The elders were great as well. Thanks for posting this.
Fair play, I was asking not accusing you. In my straight eye opinion I would have said that the first was better looking. He was certainly better in the role. Try and watch the ones with him in it and you'll see what I mean
The man in the green jacket.....Adrian, I think his character's name is? He played the character of El Gallo in the movie musical "The Fantasticks", which came out in 1995. He's very talented in that movie, and might I say, veeerrrry attractive.
it really isnt the same without the original joey and aveline. peter howitt had the gorgeous face for cheeky joey and the attitude, you can totally understand why women would love him. but this guy is dull and ugly. and aveline isnt as sweet with this one at the helm!
I love Bread but it wasn't the same when Graham Hicknell replaced Peter Howitt. Peter Howitt was gorgeous and could act. Graham Hicknell was okay but he wasn't the same. I like Melanie Hill the same as Gilly Coman. It isn't the same when they replace actors. At least Graham Hicknell managed to keep the same level of charm and charisma as Peter Howitt, Melanie Hill managed to totally change the character. The show was still funny as hell though!! Do you know where can you buy the series after 4??
Love Jonathon Morris. Simply worship him! ;D

Series 6 was really a good Series I thought. After a poor Series 5, it was a total breath of fresh air indeed.

@paoloblanc Youre right but we should all get a petition to bring back Bread for a one off special.
MegaDave1973 1 year ago
@MegaDave1973 ye it would still get lots of viewers and probably get a lot more laughs from it than most comedies that are on at the moment,
paoloblanc 1 year ago
@paoloblanc Too right i always watch Bread on uk gold on weekdays before i go to work

The original Jovey is completely different. The backbone of the family like the mast of a ship. Love his character.

Why did they replace the original joey for a charisma-less arse with a slightly similar haircut
jimmywires500 2 years ago 2
The second wore his leathers well!!!
markdehamelahotamail 2 years ago
Are you gay because how well he wore his trousers doesn't make the loss any less for me?
jimmywires500 2 years ago
Yes - I am gay. I haven't seen the early episodes I have to say - before my time - but I certainly think the 2nd Joey was hot!

See Bread in 30 minutes... How perfectly suitable for the restless YouTube generation...
Honestly, one whole episode would have been worth so much more than this chopped, teasing mini-cavalcade.
I´ve never seen this show before (not living in the UK). Hit the world with a re-run - time would certainly not be wrong.

I think 'bread' did a lot for the people and reputation of Liverpool, probably moreso than The Beatles. Honest.
