As usual, Michael misses the point. Whether or not the woman really wanted to work at the store is irrelevant. The issue still remains that the store has a policy that is unfair to a religions beliefs. He always brings his hatred for Islam into a supposedly "rational" discussion. He always bases his arguments around the concept that all Muslims are extremists, which is just as untrue as saying all Christians are Ku Klux Klan members.

Our religion has just as bloody a history as theirs, as do most other organized religions. We slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Muslim's during the Crusades, and the various sects of Christianity (i.e Catholiscsm, Protestantism) slaughtered each other. Very few (literally a tiny amount) Muslim's out of the whole group go on to commit terrorist acts.

The people that stone people do so because they live in area where backwards culture is prevalent, and use their fundamentalist interpretation of the Qu'ran as an excuse for their actions. The reason stoning by Christians is not heard of anymore is because most Christians (as westerners) have the advantage of living in a developed society.

@Frankwolf100 The point is that Sharia law as it is outlaid in some countries does represent the views of Muslim's as a whole. Just as Christianity has, Islam has many participants who are nothing more than casual observants of their religion, but hold a modern view in their daily lives.

The bible also advocates many of the cruel punishments that the Qu'ran does, and so does the Torah. The degree of which a person follows their holy text is purely subjective.

@liamsp544 I learned the one of the first things taught in Islam is to seek knowledge, the first time I heard that I thought that was one of the most amazing things I've ever heard come out of any religion. I learned that Islam has teachings similar to Judaism and Christianity and that Jesus is actually considered a prophet in Islam for God or in arabic (allah).
