  • at 1.30... wow!!

  • moog wasted.....

  • Very Nice Work! Got it down.

  • hey this is cool , sounds very close to the original !

  • what do you think of the holy grail? I bought one for the amps I have that don't have reverb, but I don't use it much as it's way over sensitive, maybe cuz I am used to spring reverb I don't think it sound too convincing. I don't know why no one does a decent reverb effect like a reverb pan in a box, fender do one but it's stupid money, considering you can get a decent(ish) valve combo with reverb for £200, someone could do a solid state reverb for say £100.

  • Great job and yes a touch picky... :-)

  • impressive! good cover and cool machines. the musicians make the machines what they are ;)

  • I just totally love this,

    brilliant

  • aceeeeeeeeeeeeid =]

  • A W E S O M E! Great cover of a classic song. Very impressed :)

  • Excellent

  • I really like this.

I love how you thoroughly document how everything is rigged up.

Great to see how things could have been made once

    Thanks bud.

  • nice track btw

  • I f-ing love these old school live synthezisers videos<3

  • @mentaltfladdrig

Yes I agree, watching VSTs is just utterly boring!!

  • Brilliant job mate.

  • Nice Rendition!

  • Its very good in terms of a cover but the irony is that if this was his original composition then we would all think, pretty good but perhaps lacking in variation and it would probably never see the light of day as a release. The fact that it came out when it did and the subsequent hype behind techno is what made it what it is.

  • Laptop morons watch this! That´s a real electronic music.

  • @gxlxn I get your point, but owning these machines requires quite a bit of money. I think what comes out of the speakers is the most important thing. Just my opinion.

  • This is a awesome cover

  • not too shabby mate :)

  • skill....

  • Better composed than the original.

  • super

  • superb

  • Choice sir, choice.

  • Wrong machines but good cover :)

  • @torque313 Ha, a touch picky there!

  • @torque313

what would be the right machines ?

  • A classic tune, and a bang up job.

  • Massive!!!!!!

  • par excellence !

  • Brilliant!

  • That big dinner was well deserved. 2 portions of dumplings in your stew for that one.

  • Just got this link from the wonderful Moggieboy at Ripped In Glasgow blog and it was well worth a visit...a great version of one of the most perfect Detroit techno tracks ever conceived...I guess this is the nearest I am going to ever get to being a cyberfly on the wall at Juan's studio as he commited an act of sonic alchemy....loved the 'authentic' feedback/bad earthing effect half way through, what did you do that sound on? ;)

  • NO DANGER! Fantastic, love it big chap!

  • Really nice!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • Respect

  • serious badness!!! love it !

  • これはすごい

  • fucking tight.

    nice werks!

  • Hey

I was thinking of picking up a pro 2,

    few questions:

    1. does it use 16bit dac like the newer mkII solos etc? I hear lower resolution makes clicking noises

    2. I have a korg polysix with an Arpeggio trig in, how do I "clock it" to make it on tempo with my ableton live's tempo? What do I plug the "arp trig in" on the pro 2?

    3. does it work with vista

    thanks

  • excellent work!!!

  • great stuff.

  • awesome

  • 1-2-3-4 ... I love it!

  • Zuper!!!

  • dopeeeee

  • Cool!!!5*

  • How do you get the moog to stutter?

  • My guess is it's the MC-202 doing the stuttering

  • Well done - very amusing! Frantic slider pushing! Get yourself a Yamaha dx-100 for some of those early Detriot sounds. It may be digital but I'm sure Juan Atkins would be proud of you.

  • boom boom POW! This is really awesome. Great work man!

  • hey, great set up !

  • a-ha - ace, credit where credits due...have you done any quality tracks of your own? would love to hear it!!! its obvious your inspired by the best...cheers, absolutely love this track!!!

  • Realy cool performance ;-)

  • hey there

how long a sequence can you program into the mc-202? and can it do different sequence lengths (say seven or nine step sequnces)?

thinking of picking one up. nice setup btw! good sync with that kenton?

  • Mr. Bonds!

This has put me in the mood to do some music.

What's up with the Roland MC-808 - looks pretty sweet and easy to understand. I can't be doing with Logic etc etc etc.

I may have to come to the D to get the scent back!

    Coggs

  • you did your homework. good job. i thought i was the only one that even remembers din sync. i was actually there living at metroplex during that era.

  • Sounds great! Really good version from the chase! Even better then the real one...

  • Simply love this RAW analog Drum Machine sounds, and ray synths of course - the reason why I love 80s Music that much ^^

  • Alright Bro, this is tremendoid!

  • Nice wan broid!

  • Really brilliant!!! Awesome track......Vintage Synths are the shit!

    What After-FX-Pedal(s) did u use??

    MfG Thomas òÓ

    [Austria]

  • The only FX pedal used is the Electro Harmonix 'Holy Grail' pedal. I used a bit of PSP Vintage Warmer plugin on the whole track. Cheers!

  • now thats a pitty!

why using this awefull digital plugin, on all of these incredible machines? You are not a purist

  • Did I say I'm a purist? It's a GREAT plugin! Get a grip man.

  • Im sory I forgot to complement the great job you did on the cover. I just highly dislike the sound of the vintage warmer. In the near future Id like to use tape, and to mix my stuff on the desk. But for the tape simulation plugins I prefer Steinberg's Magneto. It gives you less options, but the sound is good.

  • Thanks. I would use Magneto too if it was available for Mac OS X.

  • And excuse me if I sounded rude, I didnt mean to.

I think I wont be able to do a perfomance like this, becouse of the concentration problem that I have. I can only do one thing at a time. Especially when it comes to playing keys.

BTW, Isnt there a copy of magneto coming with the cubase for mac osx as well?

  • Brillant !!!

  • really cool

  • Wow.. this really sounds great... You're very talented...

  • Hi J!..Sounds FANTASTIC!..Nice to see the Prodigy & 101 in action.

    See you soon!

    SwitchdoKtor from Superscientists

  • did you record it directly toyour audio interface, or did u use an analog mixer ?

  • Oh aye, forgot to mention everything's going direct into a RME Fireface 400 interface.

  • Hell YES!

  • Brilliant

  • Great cover.
