And even if there is something of a road already then your point is still bogus. When roads are created in forests then they open it up for further development such as agriculture, logging, and more roads. Loss of habitat is massive threat to tigers and other species!

Stop crying, this video is fake! If you would care to take a look at the background at 0.12, you can clearly see that the road is already there, and that the tiger is conveniently walking on the ROAD, which is already there! It does not seem to be affected by the maintenance work being done to the road either. I oppose any cutting down of the rainforest, but fake videos should not be used like this, it undermines the work of those trying to save the rainforest.

Who are we to pursue our creature comforts at the expense of others? I like to think we're inherently good, but seeing these sorts of atrocities transpire in the name of cheap agriculture is enough to make me question this. I honestly wish more could be done to punish these acts, but at the same time remind locals that the forest is worth more alive.

It all comes down to GREED! Palm oil production is the reason why so much deforestation is happening in this area. Palm oil is big business in Sumatra. I personally work with Sumatran Tigers and can't believe how cruel people can be. Soon the only place you will see Sumatran Tigers is in Zoos. Third world countries rarely have any interest in conservation efforts and the US can't really do much. Very sad.
