Guys please answer this. I'm watching the different versions of maschine.. Maschine, Maschine EDU, Maschine mikro.. What is the difference except size of the machine itself? Cus the price varies with about 200€ from Mikro to Maschine.
I have a very similar set up as you.. very nice BTW, I have a somewhat simple question. I have a mic input that is going into a fast track interface. I can hook that fast track up but does the Maschine actually pick up the Mic input?? how would I go about accepting an external signal that is plugged into a fast track?
you define your mic inputs on the audio/midi pref's page within the Maschine software. On the audio page you select the input and your off to the races. You might need to be using that audio interface as your sound out engine in order to get inputs from it. No sure off hand.
I just bought Komplete 7 today. I think I want Maschine too. This "thinking outside of the box" style is really cool. I'm going to record my Dad's geese then rearrange and throw a rowboat full of effect on top of the sample. Then add a 4 on the floor beat. Coked out Miami wil love it!
hey wats up quick question im about to get a 15inch macbook pro i was wondering will i have any issues running maschine and logic and a few plugins with out any issues,,,, just wondering.... here are the specs its has 2.66 processor. 4gb of ram and a 320 hard drive space.... just wondering
Very cool video. I shall remember this jutsu. When I return...(mouth continues to move even though words have been spoken) I'm going to chop off your arm! Are you Ready...
Yea i recently purchased a Maschine, and I have had nothing but troubles with the hardware drivers and such... I thought they would have fixed it in the 1.1 update... glitchy.
Not yet. I have and use snow at work but not on my music making machine. I think I am about a month away from moving to snow. I was waiting for all the synth's and programs that I use to have drivers. There is not much different from 10.5 to 10.6 - You running snow?
i hate to sound slow but how??? i've had mine less then a month and still trying to figure it.i've managed to sample from my komplete 5 library of sounds and also use it with ableton but for some odd reason,it's been a mission trying to sample without vinyl
can vouch for what casey7000 said..i have maschine and the pads i would say maschine pads are better..thinner then mpc pads but u still get back all the velocity without really beating on them just a lite tap will give u big drums first time around.
You will need an audio interface. Apple computer's come with built-in microphone and speakers and within the Audio pref's of your Maschine software you set your input. With this video I have a condenser microphone plugged into my MOTU 828 audio interface in ch1. Very simply I set my input to be ch1 of my MOTU interface. That's it.
yea i have 2 condenser mic's one in a booth and one out.. i have them hooked up to my m-audio firefwire solo box... but how do i get my maschine to read the m-audio box?
SO COOL !!! Thanks for the sampling vid man. I am about to get Maschine... I am a sample-holic... so to see how fast and fluent you did it makes me want to get that thing even more. I like how you did the bowl samples...lol... its amazing what sounds you can come up with when you sample
Hey thats so cool!
I was just wondering how you are getting your keyboard notes to show up on the maschine software?
What is the keyboard connected to and how are you doing this?
Please let me know, i really need help... :)

Are you running everything from your MacBook Pro? If so, that is really tight! Is that a 15, or 13 inch model?

Nope. I think you will be fine. I use a 2.5.3ghz MBP with 4Gb of ram and it works out well.

JosephDThomay 2 years ago
and no with maschine you cant sample of the same computer maschine is running on
JosephDThomay 2 years ago
@JosephDThomay
You can use a program such as soundflower to redirect audio into maschine. You could even sample from youtube!

When I get home I will make you a video. It's pretty simple.
The Maschine it's self has no audio input or output. Only midi in and out and usb in and out. I was thinking of doing a video to explain this a bit.

right bro
