How good is the bass on these?

it is better to sit like 2-3 metres away, but atm im sitting like 1,5m away and first of all i got used to it, and the sound quality and bass for me is satisfactory.

There is no standby off switch on the remote. is it OK to power off using the rear power switch, as I go away for a couple of days each week?

I usually leave it on all the time. But if U r going away for a longer time then why not turn them off completely.

I just got a pair of the SOLO 5c speakers. I like them so much.

I've unpluged the M Audio AV 30s. which are very balanced speakers, but very thin on the low range (bass).

I've found the SOLO 5c are very balanced at stock settings, One small issue

Treble is tuned quite high, I have to set the treble to about -1 to -2.

Overall very Impressed, it gives you big sound when you want. sounds clean and balanced.

I think they are under priced.......for the preformance you get.

Value of the speakers in PL rose abut 200% in past 2 years... so i think they're pretty much overpiced right now.

The reason u had to put trebles on -2 is because of smaller woofer compared to 7c :>

Why am i hearing really weak bass on buuren at the end? I read reviews they said the speakers are very good, have great bass and well balanced sound... But it's maybe because camera can't record?

I've figured it out in the end...Very good speakers for the price...I have a pair of Solo 7C for the front and a pair of Solo 6C for the back/surround with a Xonar D2X soundcard and it sounds incredible!

Solo 6 is very similar to 7. I have listened to both. 6c is intended for smaller rooms. If u have like 20 square meteres, than go with 7c. No distortions at high volumes... i mean like 40/60 (60/60 is suicide)
