I'm opposed to capital punishment. Their crimes were heinous, but their executions will not accomplish anything.

1. Their deaths will not deter others from corruption. China executes more people than the rest of the world combined, but corruption has only increased over the years.

2. Their deaths will not serve as compensation to the victims' families. Whatever catharsis they feel as a result of these executions will not lessen the pain of their loss.
