Dalai Lama also didn't agree with independence.

There were people burnt to death in Lhasa riot, not only Han people, but also Tibetans, one of the Tibetan was a 21 year old girl working in a cloth shop. One of my relatives got hit on the head by the rioting people. There is a rumour saying recent violent in Tibet were organized by CCP so they could kickout all the media out of Tibet. And they think that the China Han people who helped them to build the road and utilities for their home are good people and their friends. I believe most of Chinese here are more objective at Tibet issue than people in the west, because they look at news from many west medias who mostly report negative side of China, even call white black, but also news from CCTV and phoenixtv from mainland China who often report positive side of China, from these two different perspective, they can make better judgment than some people who get news sources only one-sided and have only prejudice.

My parents fled Tibet after China invaded it in 1959. They followed H.H. The Dalai Lama. The Chinese government has successfully brainwashed its people into believing that they had liberated Tibet from Fuedal system. My parents said they were so happy.
There is no free media in China. Present day students from the Chinese univeristy whose students were crushed by the tanks at Taniamen square are not aware of its history!!! A chinese editor was house arrested for questioning its govt's approach.

P.S. Please pay attention to what the people are protesting for, they called for human rights and free from being suppressed, not independence. As long as Tibet is still part of China, the Chinese government will have the rights to decide everything there because it's internal affair. The only way to make the Chinese government talk with Tibetans is peaceful protest, not even hurling stones, any violence will only result in death of Tibetan people. Dalai Lama also didn't agree with independence.

One of my relatives got hit on the head by the rioting people. what's the history? history is that before Pepole's republic China, Tibet was a part of Republic of China! Before Republic of China, Tibet was a part of Qing. Before Qing, Tibet was a part of Ming. Before Ming, Tibet was a part of Yuan. What is Tibet government. That government is similar to HongKong Government. It is under China government. And they think that the China Han people who helped them to build the road and utilities for their home are good people and their friends. When British colonists occupied Tibet in 1903, they did nothing to the brutal slavery system, in which torture and mutilation-including eye gouging, the pulling out of tongues, hamstringing, and amputation-were favored punishments inflicted upon slavers. In 1950, Han Chinese liberated Tibet, and demolished the brutal slavery system there. All slavers were set free. Dalai Lama and his followers lost all their privilege, that's why they want Tibetans becomes rebellious especially monks.

I believe most of Chinese here are more objective at Tibet issue than people in the west, because they look at news from many west medias who mostly report negative side of China, even call white black, but also news from CCTV and phoenixtv from mainland China who often report positive side of China, from these two different perspective, they can make better judgment than some people who get news sources only one-sided and have only prejudice.

It was a peaceful demonstration of the priest first. They were appealed ｢Free Tibet｣ and they were wanting to be able to say things freely, and to make it a usual place where it was able to live. However, the public police of China violently treated the priest, so it seemed to call the antipathy of general Tibet people, and to have supported the demonstration by part. The part might set fire, and it became riots.

I don't know if it is good for Chinese Han people to leave Tibet, all my Tibet friends except for the monks are always saying free trade with Chinese brought them a better life. Roads/utilities constructed changed their life. Only the monks are more and more dissatisfied because they are losing the religion control over people.

Around 100 journalists, Internet users and cyber-dissidents are currently imprisoned in China just for expressing their views peacefully. Journalists have been banned from visiting Tibet since 12 March and have been expelled from neighbouring provinces. The crackdown on protests by Tibetans is taking place out of sight.

First, let's suppose that what you said is true. Then it is lack of the freedom to speak in the whole China, what does it have to do with Tibetan people? Second, people were burnt to death in the Lhasa riot, no one is going to be able to guarantee the reporters safety in this case. The reporters access to Tibet was LIMITED, not forbidden, there are lots of reports still, just check out youtube for them.

When we look back through history, 95% of the civilians of Tibet were surfs under the Lamaismic Theocracy, which was much like medieval Europe. Aparently you know nothing about the history of Tibet and its people. It was 1951 when China liberated Tibet and the first uprising of the Lamas and the slave owners was 1959, after that the Dalai Lama and his followers fled to India,who later formed the Tibetan government in exile.Before 1959,the theocracy of Tibetan ruling system had remained untouched peacefully until it was abolished by Beijing, which triggered the uprising. Learn some history before you rant,please!
