@m1adu The only reason it might look stock is because there's not enough grip. The ESP-system works diligently to cut off power enough to find traction. I can kick-down on ice surface and it won't spin at all, just slowly accelerate. ESP does it very precise and smooth, in a way that makes it look like the engine simply delivers less HP to the ground. That's what happens here aswell, even though it's not as extreme as ice surface.

the awesome thing about this engine is that you can go to the fields, harvest some rape seed and squeeze oil out of it and there you go, you are good to go. Not so much with the petrol engines.

@kanneebannee Hehe :) Kleemann och V-tech, exempelvis, gör mappar. Men i dagsläget på denna är partikelfiltret dessutom borttaget och ersatt med raka rör, vilket ger en betydlig skillnad i flöde och effekt.

@FINtelligento Haha you should read the description :D. Or just notice that I did two 0-100 runs, one of them with ESP turned off. This was recored in winter, first of all those winter tyres are slimmer than the summer tyres, different tire compound aswell as less gripping surface

@bkorven you sir own a rocket ;) i watched other video's of e400 cdi & e420 cdi they didn't seem much quicker than the e320 cdi but this e420 cdi is a rocket and sounds like a proper big v8 i'm jealous :) we don't have the e420 cdi in the uk :(

just wondering… what fuel consumption can you expect with kleemann tuned 420 cdi? seriously considering switching back to diesel. that engine is a torque monster :)

@ekgerke Kleemann themselves claims you will get lower consumption after tuning. That on the other hand has alot to do with how many of the horses you are using ;D. You get however incredible mileage, if you drive casual, indeed! I've checked myself, heres some cruising mileage figures for you:

110kmh, [70mph] @ 1650(!!)rpm - 8.6 l/100km, [27.4mpg]

90kmh, [56mph] - 7.9 l/100km, [29.8mpg]

If you drive it rough in town you will get about 18-19mpg though ;)

How is the engine holding with the chip? Any problems?

@pacsum It has been running perfectly good all along since we had it chiptuned, last 50,000km or so. I guess choosing a reliable and experienced company for tuning is crucial, despite the extra cost. Regular service visits @ MB center, and no complaints from the mechanics whatsoever ;)
