as for the vid, very nice, its not really what i would consider solo, but your solo using two ships which you could still call solo really. Most ppls idea of solo is just using a single ship though.

To do the mission u did with two ships, not bad m8, no lvl 5 is easy at all, thought you did good. Shame non of the lvl 5s are in high anymore heh, i'd still be doing them otherwise

Thats pretty fail that you gotta warp out so much.. i solo this mission in a machariel easily.. and your in a kronos.. you got a sensor booster and a web which you dont really need. small ships can be killed using drones.. since your in a maruder you should have the drone skills to do just that.. sensor booser isnt needed cause the locking time is shorter than leaving and coming back.. finally fit cap booster charges for cap stability you got a 1000m3 cargo.. use it. and get a armor rep.

Solo is Solo Pilot, any solo pilot has several ships to fit the missions. For level 4s I use a Tengu, a Raven and m ultra zippy crow, depends on what I'm doing, how fast, how much risk etc.

Using two ships to SUCCESSFULLY complete an L5 just shows he knows what he doing. I don't solo L5s, I take a friend, so it's a duo, no matter how many ships we use :-) And don't worry about "losing LP" with a buddy, faster L5s are much more profitable than faster L4s.

You can do some l5 in solo tengu/loki/proteus/ihtar/rattl­esnake. It will be helleshly slow anyway.

You can do some gateless mission solo in carrier, but thats only in lowsec, and you have to be very carefull there. Even then, you simply cant run l5 there nonstop (sadly).

And if you gonna do l5 mission with actual 2 (or more) ppl, thats means sharing LP income with them as well.

And thats is real fail in EVE.

i agree that solo means one single ship. also this is kind of pointless because it will take you so long to complete this mission that it would make more sense to just run several L4s in the same time period, from a risk vs. reward perspective. you need a carrier and a few BSs to farm L5s and make it profitable in terms of time invested.
