How did u make it so that you can jump on the people without hurting your self I can make the baddies kill me but i can get my guy to kill them when he jumps on their heads
lol i haven't used this program in like literally 10 years but i can actually answer this!
basically you should create a tiny seperate object that is attached to the top of the baddie's head. make sure to make it invisible if you can. make it so when you collide into the baddie, it hurts you, but when you collide into the object, it destroys him.

And the Sprites are wonderful... can I download it from a site?
My favorite trick is to make the background very bright and blury. The actully stage and obstacles is much darker, so the player see the differanse. Underground I make the background much darker instad.

you have to use scrolling make the game area bigger than the play area and then set the center of the screen to you main character

Anyway, if you want to create platform games, then you should try game factory 2.
