so why does no one want to save cows? Its acceptable for them to be slaughtered in massive numbers but god forbid we eat horse too! I know people love them and yada yaaa, but lets face it, Horses are animals, they have meat, people eat meat. Obviously this video is going to show thw the shittiest conditions, and the horses that are in the worst condition, but its not all like that.

If the horses are stopped from going to the slaughter houses, what is their fate then? Are we to let them roam free and overpopulate themselves, which they already are? I don't agree with inhumane slaughter houses, but if they could be put down humanely, would that be a different story? Sadly, slaughter houses are a necessary evil. What needs to be done is taking action with the breeders!
Horse slaughter sickens me deeply. A lot of these animals are loving and sound to be companions and atletes, to teach people about themselves and bring joy to us. And we repay them with inhumane slaughter? I love horses, I ride and care for a number of horses. Even when they aren't sound or a horse that's not very talented, they have a lot of value.

- so dont b.s. me I do see their fright but ive also seen documentaries with the cow side and things are always made sure that they stay calm cause things go smoother, humaner, etc
- for some reason horses are the only ones that were treated soo cruelly out of all the animal slaughter facilities.
They could of just put huge regulations on the factories that do this. Make things calmer for the horses, check on each one/group/set, pass on the background information, etc. it would of been a lot of work but it could of made more jobs, saved more good horses, etc. Cause there are a good many horses that cant live up to the many different possible things it could do with 'their' human.. just my opinion.
god if people would just treat horses as calmly as other animals when it comes to slaughter this wouldnt happen or decrease in prices somewhat so the overpopulation can be managed in a way :/ if they didnt make it completely illegal then they wouldnt be in such 'secretive' cramped forms of transportation to mexico..
Horses need to be considered social animals and not commodities. I mean, we don't ride them anymore. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had a pet horse and it ended up on a plate.

oh my god. wild mustangs being rounded up for slaughter. thats horrible. i hope that this bill passes because this whole issue is just inhumane.
