Shotguns are a pretty sweet way of dealing with these little bastards. But I've always found the most satisfying way is to try and hit them with Molotovs. They don't die from it and you end up with a flaming ball of awesome hopping around the paddock in the middle of the night. : D
Can't argue with those results. Other Florida natives and I seem to prefer running them down and chopping them to pieces with mowers since it's more cost effective to kill the little slimy hordes of those bastards when they invade (plus you fertilize your lawn at the same time), but a 12 gauge is always more fun.
