@blueflame971 Some storyboard artists like to add some animation to there work so animators and other people in the production can get a better understanding for whats going to happen in the animation,I personally dont do that but maybe in the future i will.
Technology doesn't make everything easy as unfortunately most people think. And more important, there's always a hand and a brain behind a computer, especially in animation.
Anyway, this board is made like every other traditional board, same time, same effort. I only used a digital pen instead of a pencil, but the work behind it is exactly the same.
It's uncommon to have that many franmes in a storyboard... But it definitely looks nicer - and it's easier for the animators this way. Especially in scenes like the one where the rabbit is ice-skating.
Hehe I know, the rabbit scene is a special exception - I just wanted to have fun as I'm an animator.
But yes, I've figured that the tendency now is asking the storyboard artist to draw an awful lot of poses, because very often the show goes overseas to be animated and for obvious reasons they animate only and exactly what they see in the board.
The layout department (bg layout and especially posing layout) seems to be slowly disappearing, it's a real shame. Most of all because the time and budget allowed to the storyboard artist has stayed the same, while he basically has to work twice as much. Ah well, enough with the rumbling, the only important thing is enjoying and loving what you do.
why is skunk fu never on tv anymore!?? D:

This is one reason why I don't like animations done overseas. Especially all this stuff from Rough Draft Korea.
Just look at SpongeBob or The Simpsons Movie - it all looks much too smooth and calculated. No sign of dynamic or personality...
Really good job on Skunk Fu and Secret of Kells however!

of course, skunk is voiced by a woman named jules de jongh. a famous voice actress that did many other animated shows and video games.
