  • I spent thousands of dollars to get the est experience. I, too, saw things like you saw

happen during my training. The one thing that made me think it was a cult was they always wanted you to be recruiting, and said that was part of the training. That irritated me to no end. I talked about the training to friends so much, they just didn't want to hear it anymore. Finally, I just ran out of money for seminars and had to drop out, and they would call and call, but I never went back.

  • 12 yrs ago? before there was physics now there is quantum physics that will blow even einstein brain !! so how can do a comparition? the truth is that you are not in postion to talk about landmark you did not do the landmark!!! strange why every body that putting down christainity, islam. judaism buhdism or any religion has to be gay? est has nothing to do with landmark. check it out for your self. guess what your reflection is your own and it is as disturbed as you because ur the source.

  • No comparison? Wow talk about a completely misleading and ignorant statement. I guess you have not even Seen Journey to the Land of the New Gurus. When I saw it, it was like I was reexperiencing EST all over again. So I actually am in a place to make a sound judgement regarding the comparison between the two.

  • Ok, Erhard sold the intelectual property rights to his staff and it became the foundation for Landmark. Also you are throwing in a red herring into the mix here. I am not talking about religions. Stick with the topic, your statements are full of sophistry and you are trying to twist the fact to suit your own distorted view of things. Landmark Troll? or just a cult appologist, your words don't make sense!

  • good video.. cults are very damaging.. Do a search for The cult test by orange.. it has 100 different points to look for when determining if a group is a cult.

  • "Oh Please" is right.

Talk about running one's racket! This guy is the classic example of it. Get off of it!

Blah blah blah... racket running rampently. Someone pushed his robot button long ago and it's never been shut off,

  • Interesting to hear the "jargon" of Landmark or EST graduate. Racket? Get off it? Robot Button? What a pure projection from someone who has had their mind altered by the works of Werner Erhard. This video may be raw, but I guarantee you, the rest will not be that way! I don't think you even know what the terms you mentioning really mean. At least not in a normal conversation and rational language contexts. You are a good example of Sophistry. Look it up!

  • Oh by the way, I will not shut my mouth! Dont' like it well thats your problem. I am going to take personal pleasure in working hard towards shutting down organizations like LE. Thats not a threat, because it will be done through legal, moral and ethical means. Its not my main goal, but its a big one!

  • Oh please ... such nonsense.

  • Ah another Landmark Education brainwashed drone!

  • u r funny, get over yourself.

  • And you are being petty and sarcastic. Get over yourself you cult appologist!

  • It seems to me that you missed the whole point.I did the Forum 8 Years ago n am still excitted and lit up about life. Not that it means anything, but worth a mention.

  • l.ron hubbard considered erhard to be a squirrel for using scientology methods my experience in est was not really negative but i saw so much zealotry made me realise something was off

  • Are you putting too much meaning to all this?

  • In a word no.

  • you are absolutely right.

i look forward to seeing more of your videos. thank you for all of your good work.

  • Thanks for your videos!

Discourse is one of the things that make us human.

  • I took est as both a child and an adult and had a very different experience. Never once did I feel demeaned; in fact, I felt that the person running the course was always speaking to what was best in me.

The idea of "empty and meaningless" never seemed to be an expression of narcissism, rather it meant that life is a blank canvas; you can bring your own meaning to the world that makes you happy and you don't have to be stuck with anyone else imposing their meaning of life upon you.

  • Your responses are strikingly familiar, like those posted on other Landmark Education critics pages. Additionaly, I find it ironic that you created a profile the same day I posted this, a similar tactic another indivdual (or individuals) have used. In light of these "coincidence" I choose not to engage you in dialogue. Your writing style is also like that of the other unbalanced invidual I tried reasoning with before. I will leave your comment up for others to make their own judgements about

  • I consider you to be a cult appologist.

  • I share the same experience, I have participated in the Landmark Forum on two occasion over the last 2 years and found the experiences to be very positive and empowering

  • These programs have shown that there is a human need to fix what is broken, and as bad as they are, they have spawned curiosity in self help, psychotherapy, and psychology in general.

I like your point of confidentiality vs. secrecy. No need to be secretive if one is discovering universal truths that exist in all of us. Ya can't put a patent on something that exists naturally, like electricity or lithium carbonate.

  • No legitimate organization deliberately hides things from people or is secretive about what it offers. Like a college, you know what entails in the class you are taking even though you don't have all the details prior to taking it. You have to pay for that class, but at least you know what you are going into eyes wide open. Not so with cults, LGATS and other controversial organizations.

  • Hides things like the Catholic church hides paedophila - now theres a cult for you. It has symbols, collects money, has a head etc etc

  • Around about this time (early 70's), a fellow I knew was in a halfway house for heroin addiction. They didn't like his compliance issues, so they cut his hippie-length hair off. This kind of abuse may have been common at the time, because the field of self-help was wide open to snake oil salesmen. Hopefully we have gotten a little better; I think we have.
