  • Its just turns out to be wrestling after a while, stick fighting is only a plus with having a bit of rang in the beginning.

  • its all fun and games till someone looses an eye..

  • @etherform66 well if some one attack you with a knife and he loses hes eye cuz of ur stick than i have no problem with it. And if you push the stick in some ones eye while you train than ur prety retarded.

  • Sorry, I don't mean to be an ignorant and disrespectful asshole, but I just see a man beating on a small punching bag with a couple of sticks...

  • He know what he doing, I take kali classes from a philipnie master!

    its an awesome fighting technique

  • A Campbell Cane could be an interesting senior defense device. I was asked last year about designing a cane that could be functional, artistic and defensive. The latest design fits this description. I was involved in martial arts in the 60's..now I am way over 60. I would not want to be on the other end.

  • shame the video quality is grainy

  • Too bad there weren't mixed weapon combat leagues that aired pay per view events. (though there couldn't be any edged weapons for obvious reasons)

  • this is like beating someone to death with really big drum sticks :) looks fun.

  • @chiburi1 just tell him to put the mask on

  • sucky sucky !

  • Good training guys. Its important to build up attributes, as you show in this clip. Gotta have the conditioning

  • Great Video... Those are some good drills you have. I am pretty new to stick fighting. This video is very inspiring!

  • I cut a bench bar in half and am training with thows

  • What is the name of the song?

  • @pptkng16 Apocalyptica feat. Sandra Nasić - Path Vol. 2

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful......I love the intensity, the drills (I am going to use some of them) the skill. In fact I think this is one of my favourite FMA/Krabi Krabong videos I have come across. Good work you guys, keep it up.

  • STUPID RETARD STOP STABBING HIM IN THE STOMACH AND TRYING TO BREAK HIS ARM U RETARDED PIECE OF SHIT DICKHED LOOPY MANSLAUGHTERER

  • is it same stickfight from rambo 3???

  • ...Aren't you embarrassed?

And don't use my Apocalyptica for this crap!

  • It's not stick fighting if you go to the ground, it's wrestling. The point of having a stick is to strike at a distance. The stick is a liability at extreme close range.

  • @TheCraich you are an idiot

  • @TheCraich i never had any training with sticks (or any weapon realy) but i think going to ground is more a defencive move..you know stop the other guy from hitting you while you break his arm or something

  • @smash21000 It is a great idea to go to the ground if you don't have a stick - but if you do, the most defensive tactic is to stay back and strike at the maximum range your stick can provide and strike critical areas, especially if your opponent is trying to take you to the ground. This might not apply to shorter stick combat. Check out zibtor channel, those guys use four foot sticks and the difference is remarkable.

  • I like the comodo warm up.

  • love youre work out sure looks intense... how many hours do it for?

  • You guys are bad ass. Much respect.

  • Try to learn fouls and fast counters with minimal moves,

minimal moves of counter means you can double your attack,

any sudden moves means you're not safe just attack and defense then counter.

    The Great Grandmaster named "Anshiong"

recorded 5 blows in less than 2 second in just a single stick and killed 4 opponents less than 40 seconds with 4-7 hits each and other 11 was severely injured and one of them paralyzed. He was planned to be killed by an organized prison gang in late 1960's.

  • easy to be countered.

    but nice moves anyway.

    Semi advance trainee, are you??

  • free stick fighting my ass, this is Escoda(Eskrima/kali/Arnis)

You can tell by the footwork. They move in triangles, most of them are feminine triangles.

  • @Kirillcankicker , are you really have *** who call free stick fighting?Wow! :)

Can you justify what you mean?

    Thank you!

  • fail

  • very cool

  • is this reallie called free stick fighting? or is there another name for this sport?

  • @pangGo ,yes, the name of the system is free stick fighting.Regards.

  • @freesf But there a re many names and styles of the stick power

  • @Dannyekimyan undoubtedly.

  • @pangGo This is actually arnis. Some random white guy just watched too many sinawali and FMA videos then got an idea that he will start a martial art and call it free sticks. In later years he will be its grand master and later he will make an excuse that he learned this is from kenpo and ninjutsu. LOL!

  • @abusabaya1925 The underlying idea - and key to the success - of Filipino Maritial Arts is that every practitioner eventually develops his or her own style, best adapted to personality, body type, purpose, etc. I'm personally quite impressed with what I've seen of these fighters. There are many hundreds of distinct Filipino Martial Art styles. Whether this group calls itself "Free Stick Fighting" or "Smith Family Kali" or "Alvarez Arnis" matters not in the least.

  • agrees 100% with it08tja thats why kendo is better (smerks) my friend

  • i think this guy will make a good drummer :)

  • I have to say this is my fav. video to watch , I am just learning Siete Pares Escrima. you have your escrima down , you have great form in sinawali and batangas. so thanks for the video.

  • there's some really good stuff... simple, yet effective...

  • this is not the traditional style of escrima.

if you want to see the pure filipino style

just go to the island of cebu.

  • primo.

  • thats not stick fighting stick fighting is with a staff thats stupid sword fighting

  • @hermitcrabfreak If you fight with a rattan, you are stick fighting.

  • Very impressed with the sheer mental focus and determination you guys seem to have for your Martial Art, its Rare to find people putting that much effort into a free style martial art, but you can see the benefits in your technique. I also like the fact that your not hiding behind your weapon, and your using it as an augmentation of your body rather then a tool for hiding your ass in a fight. =)

  • This is so amazing stuff. these guys are awesome. really wicked you guys love this vid. I have a pair of battens that im training with. Any tips? on drills or anything?

  • Why? Total disgrace!

  • Much fun watching! I know if your hand gets hit you dont even know that the stick isnt there anymore!

    thanks for the post!

  • the stick fighting is truly impressive. but the empty hand knife blocks at 2.35 are bullshit, you never bare your wrists towards a knife, you show your forearms. no-one ever died from a slashed forearm, but a slashed wrist.......? its one of the first things you are taught in knife defense.

  • Niceee!!!

  • very good

  • Very Nice Video.

  • Sweet!

  • @edge hey dumbass ever heard of telescopic batons...goof!

  • shit im afriad of sticks O.O

  • I'll post again:

Fought you ever with stick? With rattan or batton? :)

    Regards!

  • its for if you acsidently get to close so if you train with them in a drill its easyer to use in real life (Dont ague i trained for 2 years in the phillipiens soooo)

  • @it08tja distance is a weapon holder's advantage. a smart enemy will try to take it away by getting close. A complete martial artist must be able to fight in close distance as well. That's my guess.

  • Only so if you can say that you can choose your distance 100% of the times which is of course not realistic...to be able to use all "wepons" at any distance you are in is to me more preferably

  • @it08tja The escrima stick is used as an extension of the arm/legs. What do you do with your arms or your legs in a fight? Sure, you hit people with them, but you also do a neat little thing called grappling. The escrima stick is, indeed, used to strike people, but it's most effective when being used as a way to grapple in ways your enemy cannot.

  • @it08tja You can't always use the stick, so the knee drills seem pretty useful in my opinion. I've been put up against a wall on several occasions and couldn't use my hands to strike with, much less a stick. Sometimes knees (or a good headbutt, I guess) are the only option.

  • If you cant have the shit wit you every where fuck it and most people dont even carry the weapon they learn to use when they have the opportunity to I take my nunchaku every where I can and I practice my own art of Inhumation which is a barehanded art kali sucks most of eskrima is useless you proably dont even carry a knife wit you when you go out side so what the fuck. bullshit

  • Stick fighting is garbage i've been practicing it for a month now and every aspect of it is weak I'm trying to learn because a friend of mine chose this as his first martial art. You cant kill with theses sticks and you dont carry the sticks with you in jail so fuck the bull shit. 502 ky all day

  • Thank you for this post.

If this a real fight I'll hit his head or bones with my stick, elbow, knees etc.I will not to try armbar. The submisions in free stick fighting are only for fun,in real we always look to strike.

  • Your powertraining is good but the grappling i dont think so do you know how to respect the weapon especially the person who has the skill to wield it you can never use the submission techniques if your opponent has still his weapon its ok if you disarm then disable him im a filipino and kali eskrima is 1 of my favorites second chinese boxing dont come to philippines in tondo if you do that kind of thing

  • Wow man great training u guys ! u should make a dvd on your techniques

  • Do you guys do any cane fight? i would love to see.

  • Yes,you can see our other clips in freesf chanel. There are some test and fights :)Regards!

  • whats the song called? plz :) nice clip btw!

  • path by apocalyptica feat. sandra nasic

  • wow, i thought dragon form was hard. That makes your wrists hurt.

  • I'm totally wanting to take some stick fighting.

  • any places in calgary that teach this stuff?

  • FSF is not presented in Calgary :)..yet :)

May be you must look around for eskrima/kali/arnis.

  • @fibo5 The closest I can think of is the AFC No Limits place. They offer some combat classes but i'm not sure if they have any specially designed for stick fighting. I do for a fact know that they have some excellent staff fighters who i've seen in action.

  • pourquoi faut il qu'il y aye toujours une musique débile avec ??? ca fait plus combat ???? moi je trouves que ca fout tout en l'air

  • Fantastic!

just wondering what style of FMA is that?

    just started rapid arnis myself.

Would love to reach that skill level.

  • Rapid Arnis with Pat O'Malley ?that's great!

This is not exactly FMA , it's just free stick fighting :) - that is the name of this system.

  • if i was fighting that guy i would make sure to fight away from a tree that had large branches.......just incase he grabbed one and started beating me

  • DAMMNN.. that was awesome..

  • Great job.

  • Good job. Kali has a big problem with people not training it hard enough. I notice you don't have that problem. You should open a school in the DYT.

  • Thank you!

And about the school...who knows, may be one day.. :)

    Regards!

  • Thank you all for advices :)..mastapimpin91,in fact, there are stikgrapling whether we want or no.if you have a stick and deal immediately with the opponent - just perfect.but what if fight start before you pull out? or in the clinch? or opponent also has a stick and he is a good stikgrapler?there are many opportunities and should be ready for all:)

  • man if u got a stick and cant beat a guy and have to try to take him down u must reely suck but looks like u reely dont need to worry bout that looks fun for practice though

  • Your footwork could use a lot of work, and your strikes will lack power as long as you keep using just arm strength the way you are. My teacher had me practice my strike patters once in a while with a heavy lead pipe. Try that, and once your arm dies and you keep going you'll get how to really swing a stick with power and without tiring out so quick.

  • Dude wicked , awesome drills!!! Love how you combined thai pads w/stick work!! great video! thanks for posting !

  • irish stick wins sorry

  • I never thought of it but I'm sure eskrima could be made out of black thorn. Regaurdless I was taught that escrima is effective with sticks, knives, bottles, or even the open hand. I'm very new to it that is what I was told. So I would think a shillelagh would also work.

  • oh my god.... marone shorts is an absolute devastator. incredibly impressive, would hate to leave a defensive gap around that guy... not keen to get hit 15 times in the chest

  • Bardzo fajny filmik, super ćwiczenia. Moja ocena 5

  • Thank you for sharing your ideas with us! Very nice exersices, looks like hell fun on your workout! I hope you don't mind, when I'll steal some of your ideas to our next classes :-d!

    Regards!

  • Now you look like you have a lof of fun training!

  • Very nice excercises ! I have to try them in my training !

  • Thank you and more power :) for you!Regards!

  • you lack grace. work on that..

  • wow im learning how to use those today

  • Lol ya escrima sticks rock but im not tryin to liek enforce anything but when you were hitting the pad on each side double stick try the fan movement it might be faster

  • I approve

  • really cool video, i got some interesting training ideas from this. the footwork from 1:40 - about 2:00 looks alittle bit like the Genka movement in Capoiera... very cool. anyway thanx for the video Freesf.

    Ashwin

  • And I thanks for your comment :) and for your assessment!

  • Thank You ! :)

  • amazing my friend; unbelievable amounts of talent. I have trained in kenpo, shaolin, and close combat fighting techniques for about 16 years, and you show amazing potential. Congrats.

  • Thanks a lot :)

    Regards and good luck!

  • im sorry for that stupid question but... if i start kali as a "Profession" .Winning fights i wont earn money right ??( sorry for my english)

  • I don't know what is situation in kali but in FSF we don't have a winner.Don't have a money.May be your question is not for here. :)

  • beautiful work and combo of stik knife and grappling wish i could trian with you looks like fun and hard work

  • keep on practicing, you might someday find some moves less stupid than what you are doing now.

  • Thank You for advice! We keep our practice , we keep to fight and test and I believe that someday we will find the truth :)

I believe also that the truth is more easy to find if people help together but not laugh at the work of other people.

    Regards!

  • it is our stupidity that separate us from the truth. your offensive and defensive moves are blind product of your aggressive mind. A true martial art moves are the sum of human ACTION and REACTION.

  • May be you don't feel my ironic:)But I feel that you are young angry man. Why?

  • In my experiance in martial art(19 years) I see many story about the truth and I hear many story about the truth but I feel only on - my story.

  • Every man have his only story about the truth,What is action? What is reaction? What is "true martial arts"?

  • If I was aggressive then my answer will be:#####!But I'm not.

  • I'm just simple stickfighter with simple feelings about the truth:).Regards!..again.

  • I'm sorry for this replay but we have some bugs here and my answer must be separate.

  • Did you post only for this clip or for all my clips? :)

  • youre damn way too fast, agressive, strong and all. No doubt youre gonna kill me if i challenged you to a fight. .... Are you a black belter in all martial arts especially in arnis/kali?

  • wow!

Why you want to challenged me?

    V

  • not really. I'm just wondering if i fought with u..... gez dat would happen.

  • Thank you for your comment :)

  • I'm just ordinary practician , nothing more :):)

    Peace!

  • Well... before I challenge you... you don't do headshots or nutshots right? We're all fighting with honor?

  • And You are?

  • Master of the flaming tree branch technique!!!

  • :) Ok , I understand :)

  • Look it looks like they are HAVING FUN which is 99% of training it may not be classical martial arts but I bet theses guys would be no push over in a real fight. Its is very easy to be hard on a Text comment - good luck

  • Very nice. Don't listen to the guy below. Your practice is what's used in a real fight, not a controlled tournament. I like how you move to take the person to the ground and pound on him. That's what it's all about. Moving in and quick kill. ;D You should look at the NECOPA stuff ;D

  • Thank you!

    I will , right now :)

  • What the hell?

You call this stickfighting? There were only two repetitive techniques used for both striking and the so-called 'sinuwali'. You can easily figure out his next strike.

It's more of caveman clubbing action than anything else.

And please... dont compare this to eskrima, kali or arnis. This is embarassing and gives bad reputation to the art.

But jonton12swee was right. If this guy trained in an actual system, he'll be really good. I like the spiderman crawl too.

  • Yes,we call this stickfight, couse we have a stick,we train and figt with this:) May be caveman are more good from us,I don't know,I don't see any caveman in my life:).Did you?The root of FSF are kali/arni/eskrima,but for me it's diferent way to train and fight with sticks,so I named this way Free Stick Fighting, couse we have a free,we have a stick,we have a test and fum and we have a fight:).If you don't like-it's normal, people who like FSF-they just rtain with us.

  • When I see some commercial I dont'know what is taste of the product :)But when I taste then it's diferent, right :)So, I can't make you to like, but don't be so speed up about Free stick Fighting.Did you see our other clips?

    Regards!

  • nice nice

  • Thanks :)

  • O.O

  • Great job guys !!! How can i contact you ? Need to train some of that moves! Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you! :)

You can visit our website and there are section with contacts.Or just pm me :)

  • Kali Sikaran? xD

  • Free Stick Fighting :)

  • ok^^,

  • this is awsome me and people stick fight in the forest during out spare time with sticks we find in there. Thanks I learned lots from this video

  • Great stuff!

  • Thanks :)
