You were a huge help in a late night knitting dilema! This video was the only one that makes sense for this technique! And I love your attitude,... knitting IS sexy!! Thank you, Tara
so here i was gonna type up some rude comment sayin that that looked like a purl to me, but then i actually took the time to read your comment about the knit stitch and i went back and looked, and low and behold, it was a knit!
so instead, im writing a thank you comment! : )
well, thank you, because i didnt know you could knit stitch like that! haha
what do you know, i guess you do learn somethin new everyday
There are multiple ways to knit and this is the way I was taught. What differentiates a knit stitch from a purl stitch is wheter you enter the top or the bottom of a stitch, not the back or the front.
@CraftDknits -I was happy to see this as I do not knit the traditional way either. I'm self taught and have been successfully knitting for years, but as I watch these videos, I see people knitting by putting the needle in a different spot than I do (I start from the back of the piece). The results are the same in the end. I've tried to change, but I can knit and purl continental style, and see no good reason to switch.
That is not a knit stitch, you are doing a purl stitch. knit stitch--needle goes to the back not in front... but you gave me the general idea of what i need to do.
You're welcome :)

I'm glad that you got the idea overall.
