  • Sprawling is extremely important, and I'm glad you brought it up.

    The deeper you sprawl, the better (hips to the ground.) Also push the head into the ground instead of pushing on the shoulders. You'll have much better leverage when you control the head. From the position you showed, Chris could still finish the takedown with a single-leg if he followed through, especially if you tried to stand up again.

  • This is more appropriatly titled "Self Defense - Against Double Leg Takedown" Simular to what I have my guys do, I feel staying on your feet instead of dropping to your knees is preferable though, it makes it easier to keep pressure on the opponent, knee strikes and head stomps work very nice with the opponent in this position.
