they have 9 hr day shift and a 15hr night shift...and there is 4 groups... i think they work two 9's and two 15's then four days off...they have something lke that in philly
Great Video! Nice touch getting R2 arriving, I never would have thought it was edited the first guy that walked behind the house looked to be "turtled up" with his hood up and flaps down, like the SOC guys do.
If you watch that guy he says "doesn't look like the basement" then he swings his head to the side. I can tell you the heat was so hot i had done the same thing myself. My face burned from the heat...
wayy to much time? are you familiar with the area?? how long a pull it is? the configuration of the block?? bad area to fight fires.not your normal situation up on the walks in brighton beach. dont judge if ya dont know
ahhh i just figured since rescue 2 was able to make it on scene before the inital line was in opperation that was wayy to much time wasted. thanks for the info whosbetter... fdny no need for attitude i stand corrected.
great footage

What are the shifts when u work for FDNY? like ours are on off for 2 shifts then off for 4, then repeat off for 2, and so on

i think its 6 or 12 hours shifts and you work 1 shift then off for the next day than on for the next day for a shift and so on

I figured thats why he whipped his head to the side like that, I know the feeling. That must be a tough place to have a fire.

looks like wayy too much wasted time getting the wet stuff on the hot stuff. nothing left to save.
