I think he is - without doubt - one of the most skilful drummer around. I love how he varies the blast beat and double bass patterns as much as he does in the Disavowed songs, it makes it much more interesting to listen to than a repetitive pattern throughout the whole song.

what romain is doing is easy... your right... but to keep it sync and tight with the metranome is another thing... do an original beat and still keep it sync is a bit complicated... all this with counting the 1. 2. 3. 4. 1. 2. 3. 4. ... and finnish with 8 or 16 bars of 4/4 ...

you're wrong. what he's playing is all the same time signature it's just that the beats he plays to create the illusion of delay are syncopated on different parts of the basic 4/4 time signature rather than the typical bass on 1 and 3 and snare on 2 and 4.
