Craig laughs at his own joke, looks natural. I feel comfortable listening to jokes and watching his spontanuous action. Leno, Letterman and Conan can't compare.

Why do all the talk-show hosts "pretend" the show is on live. I've heard Leno, Letterman and Conan do it and now Craig as well. Anywho, Craig is the best!

It's usually meant as a joke for the audience. ;)
I think Conan started the whole thing by saying "Welcome to the show this Friday night." on a Tuesday afternoon. ;)
