When Katie says it resonates with her....you can feel it in her presentation. I used to be in the "presentation" business, in the British vernacular . I'm retired now and so here goes.....I always felt a good presenter could do wonders with a bad script....but the presenter shone when given a great script - and made a great presentation.....this is Katie Melua's strength musically in this song --- her voice and the song culminate in a "fantastic presentation". Bravo!!! Well done !!!!

Katie Melua`s new album Pictures contains some superb tracks, but In My Secret Life has to be the finest. The backing is, as usual, faultles, but Katie`s pure, precise voice, her heartfelt but controlled delivery, all these combine to create a musical gem. This Katie Melua interpretation of the song raises the bar.

Well, this comes as a disappointment to me. Considering how much I enjoy Leonard and Katie, I expected something much better. This is awful. It has be the the worst recording she's ever made.

Most of her stuff is wonderful though, as is most of Leonard's stuff, so don't let this one "bump in the road" put you off of their other music.

Come on, she made a good work! It can't be the same song. What I like in Katie is that she always interpretate songs in her style. And that's good style. It's Katie style.

Look at Bob Dylan's cover. I love Leonard Cohen and I think he's gonna like that song.

Leonard Cohen's maybe her favourite writer, but she surelly doesn't appreciate his work as a musician... or she just wouldn't have tortured such a great song !
