  • I hope you get a chance to do more of these videos. You have the perfect voice for this type of thing. Would a Vaquero be your first choice for a MD today?

  • @FrodoDojo - Vaquero is my favorite MD. I own an Etrac, MXT, Sovereign GT as well. The Etrac and GT seem to be very chatty and the ETrac is heavy as well. The MXT is a great MD and probably use it as much as my Tesoro V. The MXT is great for really trashy areas. If you turn up the V's descriminator to about 3 o'clock , you have an excellent coin and silver detector. My V goes out with me on every hunt.

  • Excellent videos , I am going to be getting a Compadre soon , I can only afford the Compadre . So thanks again for these informative videos , I have learned allot .

  • @Kipple2088 - thanks fror the kind words. The Compadre is a great MD, getting great reviews all the time. You'll do very well with it.

  • i have a compadre and these same techniques can be used for my MD. I love all the advice and tips you give. Thanks!

  • @sarevok5 - thanks - the snow is all gone here in NJ and I'm looking forward to getting back out there. The Compadre is an excellent md, the SilverMax and Cibola are both great as well. These are thought to be basic and for tot-lots, but I found my "V" is as good as any other md I own, just lacks the ID screen. But you can tell so much in the tone, and a turn of the discrimination knob - learn the language! Regards, Mike

  • nice video, I always had curiosity about the vaquero

  • @relampago21 - I had an interest for a year or so myself. Its well built, light weight, and I really like the tone - sharp and clear. Great metal detector.

  • @mjcz5853 I have to made myself with one someday, the light weight is a plus also

  • geez... I wanted to know what's in that hole! :D

  • @emi0re - Based on experience, when I get a reading of an inch or so and wind up digging in excess of 3" or 4", it was always a beer or soda can down at 7" or more.

  • @mjcz5853 - you seem very experienced, so I'll take your word for that. ;)

do you more tricks/rule of thumps like that? I just ordered myself a vaquero and I'd love to get some insights from an expert.
