thats pretty cool. what brand are they. i dont really know much but i'd buy a wheels around 200-250 each w/o tires. i like performance and reliability. no $500 wheel + tire deals. and so to the question about how much did the 20's cost you
@xedjflowx what I paid was very much below MSRP. But ill put it to you this way. These rims are C-Squared C-1 rims. Brand new they would have ran over $2000 for the set without tires. I paid less than half that for rims and tires.

My buddy has an 08 altima coupe 3.5 and i have an 04 350z and when we race i always pull away from him at a pretty good pace constantly thru the race.
z is gunna be faster obviously. its the same block the z just has different headers and rwd the weight is basically the same. i have an 05 altima 3.5 with the header swap my buddys 05 350Z hardly pulls on me

I didn't have a passenger when I ran the Z. My race with the S2K, the driver of the Z was my passenger taping. the HRZ and my Altima are very similar stock to stock. But they have intake and exhaust timing controls, while the Altima only has Intake. If I was to run a HR Z and it was stock vs stock, or mod for mod, the Z should put at least a car length on me. Maybe more depending on the driver.
Dude I read all your comments, I have a HR 350z and i've raced a couple Maximas and Altimas they are pretty impressive, i mean the newer models for those guys are also using VQ engines but dude honestly the 2003-2005 DE model 350z are OLD news. The HR 350z and the 370z would pretty much rape a maxima or an altima. I mean max and altimas are not build for racing/speed like the Z obviously if you put mods you might land some where but still competing against a Z is kind of useless nothing to gain
No doubt that a HRZ would win. But I wouldnt say rape. I've ran with some of my friends who have HRZ-Gs and i do lose,, but not by as much as most Z members like to assume the outcome would be. I basically have a detuned HR motor with only Intake cam profile for the HR. the exhaust is still a basic DE design.
you're saying you guys are pretty much dead even before he got a HEADERS install or before he got a TUNE and HEADERS install? because from a pretty much even race that is without headers, and now with headers, and he beating you by that much, that is crazy, he must have some crazy gain on the headers. The day i met him and had a run, he had the headers in a box in the back, and he had already gotten tuned. But seems that after the header install, his tune really kicked in. The Only Z's that have beaten my altima either have prettty much all the bolt ons, or some type of F.I. a Non rev-up 350Z will not beat me without have more mods than me.

Thats a difference of fuckin 77lbs. So if you have a fat ass driver or even a full tank of gas in the Z, both cars could technically weigh the same amount.
1/2 the weight of a 3,294 pound altima would be 1,647 pounds LOL... That's a pretty light 350Z. It must be made of magnesium, & titanium ;) Some people crack me up. =)

The Z isn't half the weight. The z is maybe 200lbs less. But i never claimed I was gonna beat him. I beat some Z's and lose to others. with 50 more hp to the wheels than me, i hope to god i wouldn't be able to beat him.
it depends on what altima your talking about the 4th gen altima has 270 hp the 7th gen max has 290 hp but that still doesnt matter max is a legend tho the altima got its engine from the max but altimas are ok
and the the maxima weighs more, the 7th gen only has CVT as an option, and I've ran a new maxima, the 20 extra HP doesnt mean much. I still stay ahead by a nose

Why'd you even try? You should line up with a Ferrari next and see if your luck changes. Ok, seriously.. You were probably thinking they both have the same motor. How different can the two cars be, right? ALOT different. The Z is tuned completely different from the rest of Nissan's line up that uses their oh so popular 3.5 V6. For starters its rear-wheel driven but the gear ratio in the 350Z is what allows it to move quicker than the Maximas and Altimas do. Try beating up on Camrys and Accords..

but do remember this the altima's are mid low 14 sec cars. 03-05 350z with good drivers on average again with good driver 13.7ish 13.6 is the fastest ive ever seen or heard of. not to mention it was as Atco. the newer Z's are more steady mid 13's

He seems to inch on my in 2nd, but then I inch it back in 3rd, wierd. hes completly stock no chip. recently Ive demolished a couple Mustang GTs, and got beat by my buddies SRt-4, who has a bunch of mods(exhaust, intake, ported TB, wastegate tune)
oh yea i know that if you race a stock 03-05 350z, i put money on it you will take them, no doubpt, but this z in this video realy pulles hard even though its meant to do wat it does b ut it still cant pull that hard on an altima because thery arent that much diffrent, but wow that z is crazy

Never taken this altima to the track. But im guessing mid-low 14s if I drive it properly. and yes, the Z is a sports car, and designed for this where the altima isnt. But one thing many dont realize, is if you have a manual trans altima, the tranny (even though FWD vs RWD) share many key parts. Now I know I wont beat a newer Z, but an 03-05 Z isnt much of a challenge
hahaha all the Z's mods made it faster where all the altima's mods made it slower. intakes lose torque which is important for drag racing so another minus for the altima.
top end races are fun too. but for the 99% of the time i'm not redlining 3rd and 4th, i'd rather have the torque of the stock intakes over aftermarket in my Z :). haven't raced a g35 yet although my brother has an 03 g35c auto. I don't think he'll stand a chance against my 6spd 07.

An 07 would have no need for half of the mods I have, cause there already done for you right off the lot. A plenum spacer/intake manifold isnt needed, cause its gots the new dual throttle body design. Also more volume in the plenum(see the hood raise). Headers are already perfected as well. Intakes have yet to prove it can even give 2hp. The air flow is already that good, cause of the dual intakes. Exhaust and HFCs together give about 5-8hp more on an 07 though

Yeah that Z would spank you anyday until the 07's get more aftermarket, put on headers and a good exhaust and you'll probably see a more even race with a slight advantage towards the Z on a start.
I'm the owner of the 350z. Just to clarify, I dont have 290hp+ in comparision to his 245, which was measured on a dynojet. My 291whp was measured on a dynapack, this would be about 274 on a dynojet. So its 274whp for the Z and 245whp for the Altima.
The headers gave me 10hp and 20tq in the lowend and 14tq at peak. The torque is what I really benifited from and why I pull so hard off the line.
290+ RWHP seems high on a DE, what dyno did you use?

You should know that Intake manifolds/Headers pretty much give you up to 15-20 horses bolted on alone...with tuning about 30 at max

Intakes have yet to prove it can even give 2hp. The air flow is already that good, cause of the dual intakes. Exhaust and HFCs together give about 5-8hp more on an 07 though

I almost bought a 5.5gen Max, but this altima is faster than the Max. sorry to tell ya. this Z had many mods compared to my WAI only

u must be a dumb fuck the max or alti wasnt for racing lol but the alt is faster i had both cars my 4th gen max would kill both lol was doing 14.6 stock and with mods + 50 shot i was doing 13.5 but i sold the 4th and 5.5 gen i only have a 3rd gen altima and a 13sec 850t5-r wagon

Yeah that Z would spank you anyday until the 07's get more aftermarket, put on headers and a good exhaust and you'll probably see a more even race with a slight advantage towards the Z on a start.

I'm the owner of the 350z. Just to clarify, I dont have 290hp+ in comparision to his 245, which was measured on a dynojet. My 291whp was measured on a dynapack, this would be about 274 on a dynojet. So its 274whp for the Z and 245whp for the Altima.
The headers gave me 10hp and 20tq in the lowend and 14tq at peak. The torque is what I really benifited from and why I pull so hard off the line.
