@mildredchung you have to watch the film in its entirety. The film is an interpretation of the opera "Carmen". It's kind of a heart breaking scene actually.
I am a flamenco devotee. I did not know her (葛蘭) flamenco performance in my teen. Little wonder she did so well playing Carmen. She was revolutionary in her time, when Western mode of expression was frowned upon by tradition.
Her role and singing are ahead of time. It takes courage and insight to achieve the pioneering artistic venture. She had no peer in her era. The Western effects in HK finally takes root in the 80s, and onward. But the ingenuity and good tastes are not always present.

Can't comment on the dancing, but I thought Ge Lan was very convincing.
As for the guitar playing, that's really inspiring and sets the mood for the entire scene. Bravo!

Hong Kong was simply great. She was so lucky to be in HK instead of inside China.

No hate speech please. The footage is extracted from a HK movie -- please be reminded that HK is not a city in Japan.

First, she is class;

由60年代往下數,有哪個女明星可以跳得到?大概只梅艷芳有些可能吧。
