  • This is ZU-2, not ZPU-2.

  • Stinks of Propoganda

  • gaddafi used these weapons to kill civilians

    not to shoot down F16s

  • iam from libya and i own 14.5 plus ak 47 and 106 mm

    believe or not

  • @AYMANALSHRIAI r u sure?

  • anti-gun good shooting

  • I'd like to shoot that gun...with one hand

  • @minamototsuki Creo que se necesitan las dos para activar los 4 cañones, pero igual seria una sensacion de poder EXTREMO!!!

  • I cut the bullet open from one of these things. The penatrator is about the size of a 50cal bullet. It is a real day wrecker

  • Put it under some multi-spectrum barracuda camo nets and it could ruin an apache helicopters day

  • is there exualy an manifracturer that makes bullet parts so you coud make youre own 14.5x114mm mach grade ammo ?

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 No because its considered a destructive device, there are a few suppliers though that can sell you 14.5mm ammo.

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix - It took me lots of effort just to get blank ammunition for my OT-64. Maybe that it's different in the USA, but it's pretty hard to get anything bigger than .50AE in Europe.

  • @CMDKeenCZ In the US the largest caliber that one can legally own is 20mm, you must have a BATF license and a lot of paper work and ammo will cost you around $18 per round. Some people even own 76mm howitzer, however there are less then 10 people in the entire country that privately own howitzers.

  • which one is more comparable to M45 Quad?

  • the zpu-4 is 14.5 mm . the zsu-23/4 is 23mm

  • zpu-4 is also usable as a fortification defense weapon against light armor, trucks, and infantry attack. i believe its the same gun system found on the zsu-23/4...which is also usable against ground targets, to great effect. the zsu-23/4 is like an old school bradley fighting vehicle with 4x the firepower.

  • Jesus! That's A shitload of firepower! 14.5x144 = ~.57cal.! 5/5! I would like to see the rest!

  • Were is the rest? Pls upload.

  • In Sri Lanka, the Navy mounted them on small boat for littoral warfare! outstanding results! shreads Aluminium/composit or fiber hulls to bits!

Agreed with the gate guard stuff..won't want to run in to one of them!

Where is this clip from? NATO documentary? is it up for download?

  • They're cool for AAA but they'd be bad ass gate guarders.

They'll stop anything short of a tank or heavily armored IFV like a bradley or warrior.

  • @peepeevagi Stick it to the BTRs,BMDs,and the BDRMs please.Don't hate on the allies.

  • @FlyingBoxHead What allies?

  • @peepeevagi Could have a chance on vulnerable vision ports, optical equiptment, fuel tanks, wheels, transmission or rear areas...but again its plain suicide against heavility armoured tanks - unless the armour is for some good weird reason as hell shoddy.

  • @peepeevagi would it have a chance against a Sherman tank? Dumb question but given the Sherman's armour wasn't exactly 'awesome' how'd it fare...

  • @HeirofGojira91 If they were ap rounds then you could penetrate a sherman's armor at certain spots. You'd be able to disable one easily. Shoot the tracks, then shoot the turret untill it jams :D

  • @peepeevagi What about ... a ... TIGER I tank? Using AP rounds of course. The reason I ask was because in WWII soviet AT teams with the PTRS or PTRD were instructed to strike the lower hull armour, fuel tanks or upper hull deck armour. Of course there is the optics vulnerable as well. Or would the AP bounce off helplessly off the 100mm armour or 110mm mantlet?

  • @HeirofGojira91 You probably couldn't penetrate the hull or the turret. You could definitely take off one of it's tracks though. Maybe even jam the turret :D

  • @peepeevagi but like how the commentator notes; the protection of the crew in the machine gun is also a compromise - I doubt if anybody can withstand the hit of a tank gun - Sherman or Tiger I - HE shells are not something to play around with but yes - jamming the turret - and not to mention enough noise to wake the fallen - even veteran tankers would be unnerved by rounds bouncing off the tank.

  • @peepeevagi Oh and did you hear sometime in Iraq an M1A2 was disabled by a single 12.7mm well-aimed shot to a power auxillary unit. Scary...then that means a 14.5mm - should ... have no problems neither if well-aimed... :S
