What is it about Chinese teen boys and that particular hairstyle? I've noticed variations of it in Japan and South Korea, also. It's just bizarre and they certainly didn't get it from anywhere in the western hemisphere.

@kayper54 Really? I'm fairly sure I've seen it on (forgive the stereotyping) emo teens in the West... aka the "emo mullet".

@lleverfreell Oh yeah, I hadn't thought about that. If I've ever actually met an emo teen I was oblivious to him/her (because I'm an old fogey) but I have seen pictures of what they're sort of "supposed" to look like, and that is very, very similar. Very interesting, thank you!
