So this adventure isn't with Supai? What do they get out of this besides regular overnight camping fees? Do you cut them a share of the profit? I sure hope so if you are not natives.
oh ! hi people i was wondering if the water is light-blue as it appears to be in the video or if it is an optical illusion, because it looks so amazing the whole landscape greetings from Argentina
Before the flood, this is the way it looked after 10,000 years. I heard a rumor that the recent flood was caused by the politicians of AZ claiming they were "cleaning" up the canyon. What took 10,000 years, they destroyed in 2 days with no more Navaho Falls! Anyone have a recent updated video?
i have - its totally different. The camp ground does not have as much vegetation, the security is more tight. Navajo falls are now gone (replaced by 2 new waterfalls which are very beautiful but not as good as Navajo). Mooney and havasu falls no longer are 20+ feet deep but about 5 to 6 feet at its deepest (b/c of a dam that was built by the tribe. I did not make it down to beaver this last year so i do not know the changes. Its still awsome and beautiful - but not the same as it once was.
@layt100 Sad to hear. I'm actually planning on hiking down in a couple of weeks after a 6 year hiatus. Can't wait to see the changes, hopefully supai hasn't lost any of its charm
Damn! We went there last June and it was like a nude beach! None of us had our suites on! And after the sun set it was swap city!

@MrThanathos2010 Highly mineralized water, look up the Soca river in Slovenia for a similar color.
