I don't think anyone is ever going to find undeniable proof of the existance of ghosts or other paranormal entities. I think that they only work through small things that can easily be debunked. Although if something is debunked it doesn't mean that it wasn't paranormal, it just means that it can be explained another way. It could be paranormal or it could be natural. If somebody did find proof it would probably kill what made the paranormal scary and interesting.

The Ghost Hunters Episode you are talking about was debunked. Another investigation team that was there the same night caught them setting up that weird stuff with the camera. They had to make the episode appear as if someone outside of TAPS tampered with it, to cover up their own deception. I stopped watching GH for anything other than entertainment when I found out about a lot of hoaxes.

My mother, my friend and even I, myself have that sort of empathy. As for the thing about you talking to people who weren't there as a child. Children are very, very sensitive to spirits and that kinda stuff, so it's possible you were speaking to someone. That or you had an imaginary friend. Both very natural for a child, I think.
