I wonder what made them use a confederate flag in this picture? I don't care I like it!

Rolling Stones making love and breakin' hearts still, almost 50 years later!

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK AND ROLL DIE.

  • Doo doo doo doo doo doo doodle doo!

  • Fucking mint

  • Classic song

  • billy preston.. adds some wah wah to this tune.. awesome

  • hmmm, I never tied it in with the sad Kitty Genovese event.

  • this song is doo doo literally

  • @jdrowe24 ass clown..clearly u don't belong here u stupid fucker..this song is magical.

  • Isn't this in part a reference to the Kiity Genovese incident in NYC?

  • @gnr4life23 Geneovese's case proved different from anything described in these lyrics. However, her murder may have helped inspire Clint Eastwood's 1973 Western "High Plains Drifter."

  • I hear a wah pedal.

  • Per il nuovo anno faccio il patto col diavolo

  • one of the bands from the 60's that still remain pretty much intact as far as members go.Keith kicked his habit and the STONES continue to kick BUTT!!I I'm an old school rocker, proud member of the class of '69'. I'm 59 and still rockin out to all the good ole time bands and music.

  • Martin Scorsese used Gimme Shelter for Goodfellas, Casino and The Departed, but I think this song would have been better, particularly for that Casino scene.

  • great story!

  • the killer intro was the very progressive funk electric keyboard sound of billy preston, the only man to record with both the stones and beatles. his big keyboard moment with the beatles was the single get back.

  • @mistermattmoose Ah yes, the infamous guitar like Hohner D6 clavinet. Stevie Wonder once called it, "instant funk."

  • Another example of how the Rolling Stones were absolutely epic.

  • One of the f 'n all-time best songs- ever! There isn't one bad note, part or vocal. Those horns and the doo-doo-doo-doo-doo riff is like a one-two punch to the head-absolutely hooks you in. This song always struck me as one of those moments where, without setting out to make a masterpiece, one was created anyway. The best of Rock and even a bit of R&B mixed together to create one hell of a track! Thanks for posting this!

  • @tomovox I have to admit, the first fifteen seconds is probably the best opener of any song I can think of.

  • @menckencynic ...what's amazing is that for the longest time, I thought this was a mid-70's song. That opening sounds a good 5 years ahead of the curve!

  • @tomovox That's an amazingly astute observation of you. Precisely- it sounds like mod-70's early synth-in-Zeppelin/touring-bands type work. Well called.

  • @menckencynic - I appreciate that! Reading yours and others comments finally helped me figure out what it is about this song that I always loved and why.

  • @tomovox ... but the song is from 1973, pretty close to the mid-seventies.

  • @joekiddlouischama lol! for some reason I thought the song was from a bit earlier! thanks for getting me right on that!

  • @tomovox ... no problem.

  • such a great tune!

  • I finally figured out this song... I've heard it so much but never knew who it was... And searching heartbreaker doesn't help because there are about 13 songs titled heartbreaker. Haha.

  • I love how Charlie Watts (drummer) leaves out a backbeat when the guitar solo starts at 1:45. He lets it breathe for a second. Very tasty.

  • @drewper73 I noticed that ,too.

  • this song is addictive

  • @chicago6584 ... true.

  • ...are you ready for the tears of rage....

  • Dirtiest guitar sound in years - keep it goin' Keef!!

  • @DrKwakker He played bass on this one, the guitar is taylor

  • alez mam sentyment do tego numeru

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • Love this song so much.

  • my favorite intro to a song ever

  • my favorite rolling stones tune :)

  • UNDERRATED !

  • Not that I really have a problem with it, but is there any particular reason Keith has the rebel flag in the back of his pants?

  • @livewirevirginia Kieth obviously hates naggers.

  • @greenskeeper3000 Haha. thats not what the flag symbolizes. im not gonna get in a yankee-rebel debate here. but even if he did...hes British, for Christ's sake

  • @livewirevirginia I was kidding man :/

  • @greenskeeper3000 Oh. i cant even tell sarcasm face to face let alone over the internet haha

  • The Stones on the top of the game

  • even my mamma love this shit!

  • love this song

  • @gelgal fucking second that love this song too

  • Wish rock bands still included brass sections like this...

  • the Rolling Stones ROCK BUT WE ALREADY KNEW THIS RIGHT!

  • This song got a lot of heart, emotion and passion. It`s almost like a folk song, but it isn`t, it`s almost like a blues song, but it isn`t. It`s universal, a song of the people. It`s basically the Stones going, Oh shit! Ain`t that a shame. There`s no preaching, no answer. It`s just,That`s life in a big city, always has been, always will be. The sax and backing vocals are as tough as any loud guitar. It`s very rock`n`roll sounding, tougher than Led Zeppelin. It`s danceable but dark!

  • @MrGardlarsen Hell yeah man

  • @MrGardlarsen - I tried to sum up my feelings about this song, but you nailed it perfectly!

  • mounstros!!!!! genios!!!!! la mejor epoca 1969-1974 with mick taylor

  • thats because nothing needs to be said.

  • @killahkaii Agreed

    Excellence can speak for itself.
